The Academy is open to everyone with a position, or who have the potential and are preparing to hold a position, at national level in Member Organizations (MOs) and National Scout Associations (NSAs), from members of working groups to Chief Commissioners. Most organisations send participants who deal with specific areas of work.The high quality of the delivery will ensure that all participants wil

l be better prepared to disseminate The Academy’s outcomes back within their associations as well as they will become more effective as youth workers back in their countries.

The Academy 2025 has come to an uplifting close, Uniting 180 Scouts and Guides from every corner of Europe. We did Ignite the Spark! ✨

Throughout this shared journey of learning, discovery, and exchange, participants walked a growing path, building new skills, finding new friends, and strengthening the values that guide their leadership.

They return home inspired, connected, and carrying the spark to uplift others in their communities. 🔥🌟

The energy is stronger than ever as participants continue to "Ignite the Spark" through meaningful conversations and inspiring learning moments.

The Greek Night 🇬🇷

With Scouts and Guides from all over Europe, we enjoyed an evening prepared by the Scouts of Greece and the Greek Guiding Association that truly brought Greek culture to life.

It started with a fun “Get to Know Greece” quiz, full of surprises and shared laughter. Then the traditional dancers of Megara, the Folklore Association of Megara (Λαογραφικός Σύλλογος Μεγάρων), took the stage in their original historical costumes, showing us dances exactly as they’ve been performed for generations, in traditional clothing.

And of course, that was only the start, the moment the dance floor opened, everyone joined in! The energy was incredible, with people from every corner of Europe dancing together and learning new steps. 💃🔥

The night continued with stands featuring traditional games, Greek coffee, language activities, and more small pieces of everyday Greek culture.

🌍✨ A beautiful way to experience a culture—together, with curiosity, joy, and international spirit.

Last night, walking around meant traveling across 37 countries, tasting new flavors, seeing unique uniforms, and ... Igniting the Spark! 🔥

Participants had a wide variety of sessions to choose from, each offering something valuable for every role and interest. They built their own learning paths, explored new ideas, and connected with others through meaningful discussions.

🏷 The Marketplace

The Marketplace brought together Scouts and Guides from across Europe, creating a vibrant space for sharing projects, tools, and best practices. Participants discovered new initiatives, exchanged experiences, and built connections that will support their work long after the Academy. The atmosphere was lively, collaborative, and full of inspiration! ✨

The Opening Ceremony officially kicked off The Academy 2025! 🎉🔥

What does that mean?

It means 180 Scouts & Guides from all over Europe have arrived in Corinth, Greece 🇬🇷, ready to learn, grow, connect, and make lifelong memories. Ready to Ignite The Spark! 🌍✨

Training, networking, culture, and connection… it all began yesterday! 💙

We started with a truly unforgettable Opening Ceremony, where the Scouts of Greece and the Greek Guiding Association welcomed everyone with warmth and spirit.

The spark was amplified by the incredible energy of all the Scouts and Guides gathered here! ⚡️

Thank you for your presence and support Koraline Van Dijk and Diana Slabu - Committee members of the European Regions of WAGGGS & WOSM, Candela Gonzales, the Chair from the WAGGGS World Board, Marianna Rapsomatioti and Ioannis Dris- the International Commissioners of the Greek Guiding Association and the Scouts of Greece!
