The "Ionian International Forum, Corfu 2012" is the 3rd International Forum of the European Youth Parliament Greece. It is our great pleasure to announce that the session will be hosted in Corfu between the 21st and the 29th of August 2012. Despite the undoudtable beauty of Corfu, the remarkable thing about the island is its historical and cultural heritage. The town of Corfu is a place where the
co-existing influences of the European civilisations that passed through it create a unique and harmonic environment. The 152 participants of the session will gather to discuss major european issues surrounded by the inspirational environment that Corfu will provide for them. The 10 committees of the session will work hard on producing resolutions on current european topics. The "Ionian International Forum, Corfu 2012" is currently being supported by the Ionian University, as well as, by the Municipality of Corfu and the Regional Council of the Ionian Islands. The Ionian University and especially its department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting consists a symbol of the diversity in European languages and the importance of maintaining it. Our main goal is to reflect this importance during the session by several ways, including one exclusively French-speaking committee during the Committee Work, interpreting during the General Assembly, resolutions printed both in English and French, etc. The head-organisers of the session are Alexandros Politis (GR) and Dora Markati (GR), well- supported by the two other members of the organising committee, Athanasios Karagiannis (GR) and Alex Nobilakis (GR).
