WHAT A FIRST WEEK FOR COHORT 2!

Our second cohort of foreign students hit the ground running, and they’ve already packed a lifetime of memories into their very first week with Seasons in Greece!

Fresh off our team induction weekend, we jumped straight into the action in beautiful Chalkida, and the energy has been off the charts ever since:

The Chalkida Tour: Getting to know our gorgeous home base, exploring the waterfront, and taking in those iconic Evripos Strait views.

Lichadonisia Trip: Trading the classroom for "The Greek Seychelles". Turquoise waters, boat rides, and pure island magic!

The Great Treasure Hunt: Bringing mythology and adventure together in a high-stakes, team-building challenge across town.

🏛️ The Acropolis & Parthenon: Walking in the footsteps of ancient gods and philosophers, taking in the ultimate view of Athens!

In just seven days, this group has gone from strangers to a tight-knit family. They’ve dived headfirst into the history, the myths, and the local culture—and this is only the beginning!

We could not be prouder of this amazing new group of students. Week One is officially in the books, and we can’t wait to see what the second week holds!

Team Seasons in Greece is officially ready!

​We just wrapped up a comprehensive and energizing induction weekend, getting everything prepped and polished for the arrival of our second cohort of foreign students. Based right here in beautiful Chalkida, our programme offers something truly unique and thematic, bringing Greek Mythology to life, taught entirely in English!

​Judging by this photo, (though a few of our wonderful collaborators and staff are missing from the frame) our popular role-playing workshop is clearly still active and in full swing! 🎭

​None of this would be possible without this incredible group of collaborators and staff whose hard work, dedication, and positive energy make it all happen.
​We can't wait to welcome our new students, dive into the myths, and kick off an unforgettable journey together here in Greece! 🇬🇷

What an incredible blur of a week! 🇬🇷

Days 4 through 7 at Seasons in Greece have been nothing short of legendary. We’ve gone from the heights of ancient history to the open seas, and even found time to celebrate a very special birthday!

​Here’s a snapshot of our latest adventures:
​⚡️Walking in the Footsteps of Gods: We headed to Athens to explore the magnificent Acropolis. Seeing the cradle of Western civilization in person was the ultimate lesson in history and culture for our students.

​⛵️ Setting Sail: Our students didn’t just watch the waves, they learned to navigate them! A real, hands-on sailing lesson challenged our students to work as a team, building confidence and communication skills while cruising the beautiful Greek coast.

​🏖️ Sun & Sand: With the Greek summer in full swing, we made sure to maximize our time at the beach, turning the shoreline into the perfect classroom for relaxation and friendship-building.

​🥳 A Special Celebration: We had a birthday in the house! Nothing beats celebrating another year older surrounded by new friends from round the world. It’s these moments of connection that make the Seasons in Greece experience truly unique.

​The energy this week has been electric. Our students are growing, learning, and bonding in ways we couldn’t be prouder of.

What an incredible start to Seasons in Greece! 🇬🇷 Days 1 and 2 are in the books, and they were absolutely packed with learning, laughter, and adventure in Chalkida.

​Here is a quick look at our action-packed opening:

​Days of Gods & Heroes:
Our unique thematic journey into Greek Mythology began with their very first English lessons. Students are already diving deep into the stories of ancient legends, proving that language learning can be an epic adventure! 🏛️

​Discovering Chalkida:
We took to the streets for an orientation walk, exploring the beautiful landmarks and vibrant culture of our host city.We got to visit the War Museum too!

Welcome Beach Party:
The perfect way to unwind and make new friends!

​The "Greek Caribbean":
We just returned from an extended half-day trip to Lichadonisia, and it is easy to see why it's called the Caribbean of Greece. Crystal clear waters and golden sand—the perfect backdrop for building friendships and practicing English outside the classroom. 🌊😎

​The energy is high, the students are amazing, and we are just getting started. Stay tuned for more updates from our Greek summer! ☀️

Classical Greece and, of course, Classical Athens is closely related to to our Thematic (Greek Mythology) Summer School.
In the video below, you can travel back in time through a 3D reconstruction of Classical Athens in the late 5th century BC. The city is presented the way it would look in the years before the defeat in the Peloponnesian War (404 BC).
The city of Athens was completely destroyed by the Persian army in the years 480-479 BC. In the years that followed, the Athenians managed to rebuild their city and by the middle of the 5th century BC, the statesman and general Pericles ordered an extensive construction programme that made Athens the centre of classical Greece. It was the time when the great temples on the Acropolis hill were built (Parthenon, Erechtheion) and many buildings of public administration for the Athenian Democracy.
The video presents almost all of the important monuments, spaces and areas within the city. The 3d reconstructions were made after the most recently published international research and a great effort was made to be as accurate as possible.

Seasons in Greece is the first ever Thematic International Summer School organised in Greece.The course is taught in English and the lessons offered are based on Greek Mythology. We aim to inspire and help our students to develop the knowledge, skills and qualities needed to fulfil their potential in both their personal and professional lives, while enjoying themselves to the fullest. It is organised according to the standards of British Council Accredited Schools and offers a complete experience to children and teenagers from all over the world, by providing lessons, activities and excursions, while taking great care to ensure the safety and well-being of all students and members of staff.

Why did you choose Chalkida as a base for your Summer School, they ask.
For 3 simple reasons, we reply.

1. It's only 80 km away from Athens and the main gate to the island of Evia, meaning it's a stone's throw away from Athens airport and the main attractions, without the hustle and bustle of a big city. Thanks to its strategic geographic position, the city has remained a crossroad of cultures and ideas over the centuries.

2. It's loaded with a history stretching back over 3,000 years. Homer mentions Chalcis (Chalkida) in the Iliad and academic books claim that Chalkida was founded before the Trojan War. Mythology and History are in integral part of our programme.

3. It's a safe city and we have the most amazing academic facilities for all age levels, not to mention the tidal phenomenon that takes place in Evripos, i.e. the swift change of water direction every six hours, created by the Moon’s pull. During each change of direction
the water stops moving for about eight minutes. How amazing is that!
