Day 1 provided an important opportunity to present the work and activities of ACE, engage with representatives from the academic, business and innovation communities, and exchange perspectives on the evolving role of universities in supporting entrepreneurship, innovation and knowledge transfer.

We were particularly honoured to welcome to our booth Professor Dimitris Bourantonis, Secretary General for Higher Education at the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports and former Rector of AUEB, together with Professor Vasileios Vasdekis, Rector of the Athens University of Economics and Business.

Their presence highlighted the importance of strengthening the links between higher education, public policy, research, entrepreneurship and the wider innovation ecosystem, while reaffirming AUEB's commitment to creating pathways through which academic knowledge and talent can generate meaningful economic and societal impact.

Throughout the day, our team also had the opportunity to meet representatives of companies, institutions, research organisations and entrepreneurial teams, opening new conversations and exploring opportunities for future collaboration.

We look forward to continuing these exchanges throughout TIF and welcoming even more members of Greece's innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem over the coming days.

Meet the Team: Magdalini Eleftheroglou 🤍

Magdalini is a Project Manager at ACE, contributing to the design and implementation of innovation and research-driven initiatives that bring together knowledge, collaboration, and purpose.

With a background in Sociology and Political Science and ongoing PhD research in Sociology of Education and Sustainable Development, she brings together analytical thinking, strong organizational skills, and a passion for projects that create meaningful social and entrepreneurial impact.

Fun fact about Magdalini? Her problem-solving method is scientifically questionable but highly effective: she sleeps on it. If she’s stuck, she goes to bed and more often than not, the answer is waiting for her in the morning. 🌙💡

Her advice to founders? Dare. And remember that daring also means daring to change your mind.

We don't fund you -> we equip you with the tools, mentors and network to become fundable.

We're not just for AUEB students -> our program welcomes anyone with an idea worth building, regardless of university or background.

We don't work with individuals -> we work with teams. Don’t worry, you have a month left to find your people!

We don't build your startup for you -> we challenge you, guide you and push you to build it yourself.

You don't need a finished product or clients to apply -> you just need an idea and the drive to make it real.

With a background in Marketing & Communication and a passion for startups and innovation, she combines creativity with strategy in order to tell meaningful stories, build connections, and help ideas reach the people who can make them happen.

Fun fact about Artemis? She works best surrounded by conversations and background noise (as long as she’s not the one having them). That’s when the deep focus mode kicks in. 🎧✨
