𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝗖𝗦 𝗔𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀! 💙

Before the school year officially begins, our community came together for two special events designed to welcome students and families and help everyone feel ready for what’s to come.

At our 𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟭, first graders met their teachers and explored their new classrooms, while parents attended an information session.

Our 𝗞𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 in Grades 2-12 brought our newest community members together to connect and get to know the ACS Athens community. Dr. Pelonis welcomed everyone in the theater, followed by a fun game of bingo, activities, and some delicious treats!

🚧 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸

While campus was quieter during the summer, the work continued behind the scenes. Construction, upgrades, and improvements took shape, preparing our spaces for the start of a new school year.

A summer of progress, all leading up to the moment we welcome everyone back in a few days!

🔥𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

Trivia put knowledge to the test, Bingo kept everyone on their toes, and clues sent teams searching across campus. 🔎

A little strategy, a little speed, and plenty of friendly competition brought a playful energy to the day.

A fun way to bring faculty and staff together and kick off the new school year on a high note! 🤩

🎯𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀. 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱.

The Area Leaders Council brought colleagues together to exchange ideas, align priorities, and reflect on the goals that will guide the year ahead. Through presentations, working sessions, and meaningful conversations, the two-day gathering created space for connection, collaboration, and a shared sense of direction across departments.

A productive two days that set the stage for what’s next! 🚀

We welcomed our new faculty and staff to ACS Athens with opportunities to connect, learn, and prepare for the journey ahead.

In an engaging workshop led by our President, Peggy Pelonis, participants explored the phases of change, how it evolves, and how embracing change can lead to growth and new possibilities. 🌱

An interactive activity brought the ideas to life, filling the room with energy, smiles, and excitement.

A new year, new possibilities, and plenty to look forward to!
