On Friday, our Year 9 students dove into an interactive workshop on sustainable tourism development for Milos island!
Collaborating in teams, they used their recent investigations to propose real-world strategies for sustainable branding. We were thrilled to host Mr. Mihalis Kavaratzis, Professor of Place Marketing at Manchester Metropolitan University, who led an incredibly engaging and thought-provoking session. Proud of our students for applying their learning to real-world contexts!

In Year 5, we are bringing our Science learning to life through hands-on experiences. Our students have planted bean and sunflower seeds in our new planters, allowing them to observe the plant life cycle first-hand.
In Geography, Year 5 have been learning about allotments, so we created our very own Byron Allotment in the planters. The students planted a variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs, including strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, aubergines, capsicums, basil, and parsley.
Each morning, the children eagerly water and care for the plants, showing great enthusiasm and responsibility. What better way to learn than by doing?

We are thrilled to announce that additional green space has been created for the children to enjoy during lunch and break times, providing even more opportunities for outdoor play and learning. Classes will also be able to make use of the area for outdoor activities and lessons.
As part of this exciting addition, we have also introduced a small garden where the children can take part in planting, tending to, and caring for flowers and plants, helping to encourage responsibility, teamwork, and a love of nature.
