How can the fashion industry truly respond to the EU’s urgent call for a circular economy? According to the EU Strategy for Sustainable Textiles, all products must be durable, recyclable, and eco-friendly by 2030. 🇪🇺 The transition isn't just about fabrics it’s about technology and collaboration.
Our Sust3DFashion Interdisciplinary Handbook is a strategic roadmap developed under the Erasmus+ VET framework. It is designed to merge two worlds that must now speak the same language: traditional textile craftsmanship and digital 3D design. 🤝💻
What exactly does the Handbook offer? 📖👇
This manual provides the technical "know-how" to fill the knowledge gap between sectors. It features practical techniques for Digital 3D Integration to create high-performance garments and introduces Zero-Waste Prototyping methods to drastically reduce fabric waste. ♻️
Furthermore, it includes a guide to Sustainable Materiality for selecting bio-based filaments and presents Flexible Mentoring Models to foster rapid, interdisciplinary innovation. 🚀
Who is this for? 🎓
✅ Fashion Professionals & Designers: To upgrade their skills for the digital and green transition.
✅ SMEs & Businesses: To adopt affordable, sustainable, and cutting-edge 3D technologies.
✅ VET Providers: A ready-to-use curriculum to train the next generation of "green" creators.
The transition to a Green and Digital economy is a collaborative journey. Let’s bridge the gap between tradition and technology together to create a fashion industry that goes back to the planet! 🤝⚙️

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠?
Because innovation doesn’t happen alone.
🫂 When experts from 3D printing and fashion & textile come together, they don’t just share techniques — they exchange perspectives.
One sees patterns in pixels, the other in threads — and together, they design something neither could have imagined alone.
That’s the power of 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠: a space to learn, unlearn, and reinvent — side by side.

✨ The fashion industry is facing a turning point — innovation and sustainability are no longer optional, they are essential. Among the technologies driving this change, 3D printing stands out for its potential to transform design, production, and the circular economy.
In this context, the #𝐒𝐔𝐒𝐓𝟑𝐃𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐎𝐎𝐂 is being developed by 6 European partners and will soon be available in 5 languages. Conceived as a truly collaborative effort, the course is designed to provide learners with a structured pathway, combining theory, videos, quizzes, and real case studies.
Across 9 interconnected modules, the MOOC will guide participants from the fundamentals of 3-D design in the textile and fashion sector, to the use of CAD software, the exploration of printing technologies and equipment, and the process of converting digital concepts into physical models. The programme will also address the environmental benefits and circular-economy applications of 3D printing, while exploring how these innovations can be integrated into real manufacturing workflows.
The journey will culminate in a case-study module, showcasing how creativity, innovation, and sustainability come together in practice. This final step is not just about learning tools, but about understanding how to apply them to shape the future of the fashion industry.
📚 More than a course, the MOOC will be a complete learning pathway — making cutting-edge knowledge in 3D printing and sustainable fashion accessible, practical, and future-oriented.
👉 Stay tuned: the launch is coming soon.
