📍European Ocean Days | 2–6 March 2026 in Brussels
Our team at the ReSEES Reseach Lab Athens University of Economics and Business - Οικονομικό Παν. Αθηνών and Ae4ria - Alliance of Excellence for Research and Innovation on Αephoria, represented by Alice Guittard, participated in the European Ocean Days, hosted by the European Commission. The event brought together policymakers, researchers, industry leaders, startups, coastal communities, and youth to advance discussions on the European Ocean Pact and the EU Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters.”
Throughout the event, participants explored key topics related to marine governance, blue economy innovation, fisheries science, pollution prevention, and place-based solutions for seas and rivers, highlighting the importance of science–policy collaboration and cross-sector partnerships for the sustainable management of marine and freshwater ecosystems.
As part of our DiverSea EU project, a digital poster showcased the project’s activities and ongoing efforts to strengthen science–industry knowledge transfer and collaboration, supporting innovative approaches and partnerships in marine research and the blue economy.
At AUEB, the project is led by Professor Dr. Phoebe Koundouri, who serves as Principal Investigator, with the research team including Alice Guittard and Conrad Landis.
