MBA

On May 13, Hellenic American College, in cooperation with the Hellenic American Union, welcomed Steve Blame to a full house at the Hellenic American Union Theater for his lecture "0 Lessons I Wish I’d Learned from Pop Stars Sooner."

The event, co-hosted with the Psychology Department, brought together students, faculty, and members of the wider community for an evening of stories, reflection, and inspiration. Drawing on his personal experiences at MTV and his encounters with global pop icons such as Tina Turner, Elton John, and Madonna, Steve Blame shared photos, videos, and personal moments that connected music, identity, creativity, branding, and personal growth.

Dr. Maria Agorastou, Director of Counseling Center, facilitated a short discussion on childhood trauma and identity, two key themes explored in the first five lessons of Mr. Blame’s talk.

Through archival footage, MTV graphics, and examples of unique branding, Mr. Blame reflected on the cultural impact of MTV and the importance of building an authentic personal and creative identity.

Special thanks to Business student David-Oliver Barouh, who provided technical support and joined Steve Blame in an interactive stage talk, contributing to the dynamic atmosphere of the evening.

🏛️ Spring Field Study in Rome

Our undergraduate students traveled to Rome for the Spring Field Study "The Greco-Roman World: Ancient Rivals & Modern European Partners".

Developed in support of our international initiatives and the Politis Civic Engagement program, the field study offered students a unique opportunity to explore the historical, cultural, political, and urban connections between Greece and Italy.

Through guided visits to the Barracco Museum of Ancient Sculpture, Galleria Borghese, and Palazzo Colonna, students examined shared Greco-Roman legacies, mythology, art, urban history, and modern European identity.

An unforgettable academic and cultural experience in one of the world’s most historically rich cities. 🇬🇷🇮🇹
