🎉 We're proud to welcome Dr. Danae Manika as the new Executive Dean of Alba Graduate Business School, effective today!

Dr. Manika joins us from Brunel University London, where she served as Executive Dean of Brunel Business School and Professor of Marketing.

For her, it's a homecoming 🏡 A graduate of Pierce - The American College of Greece, she earned her master's and doctorate at the University of Texas at Austin and built a distinguished career across leading UK universities. Now, she returns to the ACG family.

Her research focuses on how marketing and communication can drive behavioral change in environment, health, and well-being — published in top international journals and backed by more than £450,000 in funding.

🚀 11 Teams, 1 Stage, and a Ticket to Berlin!
On Saturday, July 11, the intensive journey of The Alba MBA students concluded with the final pitching session of the "Entrepreneurship: The bootcamp experience" course!

Over an intensive three-month period, our students immersed themselves in the startup world. Guided by our faculty, Prof. George Batsakis and Alexis Komselis, they worked hard to discover, validate, and pitch their own startup ideas.
The final steps? 11 student teams took the stage to pitch in front of a panel of judges, simulating a real-world meeting with venture capitalists and angel investors.

🏆 The Road to Berlin
The stakes are far beyond a grade. The winning team from this cohort has earned the honor of representing Alba Graduate Business School at Stage Two in Berlin this October, the largest pan-European competition for startups spinning out of leading universities!

We were pleased to support the 5th Trading in U.S. Waters Seminar, organized by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce (AmChamGR) and American Marine Environment Protection Association (NAMEPA), in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Athens, where Dr. Mariniki Psifia and Dr. Georgios Kokosalakis shared insights on the evolving maritime landscape.

Organized by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce (AmChamGR) and North American Marine Environment Protection Association - NAMEPA, in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Athens, the seminar brings together the global shipping community to discuss today’s most important maritime challenges and developments.
