I have been pretty silent on my yoga page lately. I have been contemplating if I had something to say that would matter or make any difference.
I have not been shooting yoga video online or hosting zoom classes, I have also not been practicing yoga much myself for a various range of reasons but mostly because I did not resonate with it in this moment. Plenty of people and great teachers have shot videos and youtube is full of yoga and yin classes so don’t worry you don’t need another one from me.
I am not comfortable with being in a teacher position these days, I have no more experience than you do in navigating these uncertain times and the news and restrictions that comes with it.
Still, in the last 17 days of quarantine I have been feeling very good, positive and relaxed. Of course, some days are a little harder than other but so far my spirits are pretty high and positive. So I decided maybe I can share some little things that I do and might explain why I have been lucky to navigate these strong currents pretty smoothly (so far!).
Music and exercise daily (my online zumba teacher is my quarantine superhero) have helped me tremendously with the extra energy I can’t spend outside, walking, skating, working etc.
And to process all the information and recenter myself, meditation and gratitude are my pilars these days.
So here I am posting a small breathing exercise that helps me and that I want to share with you.
Not because I am a teacher, a yogini or any kind of enlightened being but as a fellow human experiencing something completely new and trying out things to cope with the twists life had in store for us in 2020.
Sending you love, stay strong, positive & safe.
