Van Gogh only sold one work? Well…
This painting, ‘The Red Vineyard’, did sell for ‘real money’: 400 francs (around $ 2,000 today) to Belgian painter and collector Anna Boch, the sister of Vincent’s artist friend Eugène Boch.

But Vincent didn’t only rely on sales. He also traded paintings, drawings and prints for things he needed (like painting materials), or for other people’s artworks. Not a ‘sale’ in the strict sense – but definitely a real form of value and exchange.

In a letter to Theo, he admitted he felt a little embarrassed that he hadn’t offered ‘mates’ rates’. If only he knew what his work would be worth one day.

Constantin Brancusi arrive à Berlin ! ✨🇩🇪

À partir du 20 mars, la Neue Nationalgalerie de Berlin accueille l’exposition « Brancusi », organisée conjointement avec le Centre Pompidou et dédiée à cette figure incontournable du 20e siècle, souvent considérée comme le père de la sculpture moderne.

Avec plus de 150 œuvres, il s'agit de la première rétrospective complète consacrée à Brancusi en Allemagne depuis plus de 50 ans !

Déployée dans l’architecture iconique de Mies Van der Rohe, cette exposition présente les séries emblématiques de l’artiste et éclaire son processus créatif.

Starting March 20, Berlin’s Neue Nationalgalerie presents the exhibition “Brancusi,” organized jointly with the Centre Pompidou and dedicated to this key figure of the 20th century, often regarded as the father of modern sculpture.

Συνδιάζοντας την τέχνη της κηροπλαστικής με τα εικαστικά,
ελάτε να φτιάξουμε μοναδικά κεριά!

Με καλούπια σε διάφορα σχέδια και διάφορα μεγέθη. Θα μάθουμε να φτιάχνουμε τα δικά μας καλούπια από μακετόχαρτο, θα μιλήσουμε για τα χρώματα στα κεριά και θα επιζωγραφίσουμε τα κεριά μας. Θα φτιάξουμε κεριά από σόγια, αρωματικά και για μασάζ. Θα μάθουμε την τεχνική decoupage σε κερί.
Στο τέλος θα φύγετε με μία σειρά από τις δικές σας δημιουργίες έτοιμα για να διακοσμήσουνε τον χώρο σας ή τον χώρο ενός αγαπημένου σας προσώπου.
