(1)Junior Core Networks Engineer

The role:

We are looking for a motivated and energetic graduate to join our Core Networks Team. In this role, you will support the design, dimensioning, planning and delivery of our Core Network infrastructure. Furthermore, you will assist in preparing performance and cost optimization reports to provide the appropriate Core Networks solutions according to the epic overall strategic targets and the guidelines given by Core Networks Planning Manager.

You’ll be part of a supportive and experienced team where you will receive ongoing training, hands-on experience, and exposure to cutting-edge network technologies. This is a great opportunity to kick-start your career in one of the most dynamic and fast-evolving areas of telecommunications.



Your Responsibilities:

As part of your learning and development journey, you’ll be involved in:

Planning, designing, and configuring Core Network elements (hardware and software)
Designing internal and external network connections (e.g., IMS, MSS, MGW, MME, SGSN, S/P-GW, GGSN, MGCF, BSC, RNC)
Implementing new features and configuration changes
Analyzing the overall network impact of proposed configuration changes
Preparing customer service solutions within Core Networks and generating performance and optimization reports
Testing and validating new network elements
Collaborating with vendors to support software and hardware upgrades
Troubleshooting customer complaints reported by Customer Care agents in a timely manner
Documenting network configurations and maintaining an updated library with the configurations of the network
Researching new technologies and proposing improvements to Core Networks
Monitoring the performance and health of Core Network systems and resolving arising issues
Participating in the on-call support scheme for critical incidents (after sufficient onboarding)

Your Profile:

We’re looking for graduates who are passionate about technology, eager to learn, and excited to start their career in telecom:

Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or Computer Science
Postgraduate studies or specialization in Networks/Telecoms will be considered an advantage
Up to 1 year of related experience is considered an advantage
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
A team player with clear and effective communication skills
Knowledge of mobile and fixed/DSL network concepts
Knowledge of signalling systems, e.g. SS7, SIGTRAN, DIAMETER will be considered an advantage
Knowledge of signalling protocols, e.g. SIP, MAP, ISUP will be considered an advantage
Knowledge of Unix or Linux will be considered as an advantage

(2) Radio Access Network Engineer

The role:

We are currently looking for a Radio Access Network Engineer, who will be responsible for the designing, planning, dimensioning and reporting activities related to the mobile access networks. Additionally, the Radio Access Network Engineer will be providing cost-optimized, reliable and high-performance mobile access networks, according to Epic overall strategic targets and the guidelines given by the Radio Access Network Manager.



Your Responsibilities:

Issues the design, planning and dimensioning (hardware and software) of the mobile access networks (incl. BSCs, RNCs, BTS, NodeBs, eNodeBs and gNodeBs).
Prepares all necessary configuration details of elements that the team is responsible for.
Helps in preparing the necessary design and configuration for the implementation of new nodes.
Prepares performance reports.
Reviews optimization proposals with optimization team and ensures that they are aligned with the Epic strategy and interests.
Follows up with optimization team of underperforming cells and problematic areas.
Prepares configuration changes and implementations of new elements in the mobile access networks.
Helps in the preparation of ordering of hardware, features, functionalities and software releases for the mobile access networks.
Participates and validates the acceptance tests of new elements and features in the mobile access networks, during the First Office Application Phase.
Monitors overall network impact of proposed configuration changes.
Studies new technologies and proposes improvements in the mobile access networks.
Documents network configurations and solutions, maintaining an updated library with the configurations of the network.
Monitors daily health of the Radio Access Network Elements and works to solve issues that might arise
Receives and troubleshoots customer complaints as reported by Customer Care agents in a timely manner
Performs Drive Tests to document and troubleshoot the performance of the mobile sites.

BSc (Bachelor) in Computing Science, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, Master preferably in Telecommunications or Networks
2-3 years’ experience in Mobile Radio Networks
Good knowledge of mobile network concepts, architectures and communication flows
Good knowledge of mobile radio and access networks optimization concepts and processes.
Good knowledge of switching protocols, e.g. SS7, SIGTRAN
Good knowledge of LAN/WAN switching/routing technologies and protocols
Capability to generate and analyse measurement reports
Good knowledge of Unix or Linux
Fluent written and spoken English
