Over two weeks, he observed life inside a dental practice, learned more about the field he hopes to pursue, and gained a clearer understanding of what a career in dentistry looks like in a real clinical environment.

But the experience went beyond the clinic. As a solo traveller, Javier quickly settled into life in Athens, discovering a new culture, meeting new people, and experiencing a city that felt welcoming from day one.

Anne, a final-year medical student at Des Moines University, chose Greece for a medical shadowing experience driven by her passion for international medicine and her goal of becoming a culturally competent physician.
