a few impressions from GODB lead researcher Valentin Schneider's teaching assignment last week 30-31 January 2026 in Germany where his students at the University of Osnabrück presented their papers dealing with "Occupation and the Holocaust in Greece: Primary Sources between History and Memory" in cooperation with the group of students of Alexander Dalhouski who taught a class on "Sites of the 'Final Solution': the Minsk Ghetto and the Trostenez Extermination Site" - a great opportunity for students and their lecturers to cross-examine occupation and the Holocaust between Greece and Belarus, to mobilize the findings of the "German Occupation Database" and to envision the application of its methods to other regions.
