Held under the auspices of the Embassy of Greece in Washington, DC, the event will convene leaders from academia, business, and key diaspora networks to explore how talent, investment, and international partnerships can strengthen Greece’s future.
The evening will also introduce Dr. Ed Wingenbach, who assumed the Presidency of ACG on July 1, 2026, as he reflects on ACG’s 150-year legacy and its enduring role in advancing American-style higher education in Greece and deepening U.S.–Greece ties.
The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Ambassador Arif Havas Oegroseno, visited The American College of Greece for a series of engagements that included a meeting with the President of The American College of Greece, Dr. Ed Wingenbach, Ph.D., a campus tour and a public lecture. The Vice Minister was accompanied by H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bebeb A.K. Nugraha Djundjunan and members of the Indonesian delegation.
During his visit, the Vice Minister toured the Simulated Trading Room and the Athletic Building, where he viewed memorabilia from the American Olympic team that resided at the Deree campus during the Athens 2004 Olympic Games.
The visit concluded with the lecture “Global Outlook 2026: Indonesia’s Perspectives,” moderated by Dr. Konstantinos Filis, Director of ACG’s Institute of Global Affairs. Addressing Deree students and faculty, Vice Minister Oegroseno highlighted Indonesia’s “independent and active” foreign policy doctrine, its strategic maritime position, and the role of middle powers in fostering stability and cooperation in an increasingly interconnected world.
