“To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord” (Luke 4:19). The Church invites us to receive time not as a burden or a passing sequence of days, but as a gift offered by God and returned to Him in thanksgiving.

Every new beginning can become a quiet offering of gratitude, remembrance, and trust before the Lord.
When time is lived eucharistically, it becomes a place of presence, offering, and hope.

His humility is not weakness, but truth: the freedom of a heart that knows its place before God.

The Church is not called simply to make converts, but to form disciples. Conversion becomes distorted when it turns into legalism, pride, or a fixation on rules without the heart of repentance. A true disciple is a student of Christ, a servant of others, a steward of everything received from God, and a sharer of both material gifts and the faith itself. Orthodoxy cannot be reduced to ethnic identity, national belonging, or external correctness.

To become Orthodox is to be formed for the Kingdom through humility, service, stewardship, and communion in Christ.

Human limitations are not only obstacles to be overcome. In the Orthodox vision, they can become places where the heart is humbled, healed, and opened to God.
Kenosis teaches us to receive the involuntary emptying of life—illness, weakness, loss, and mortality—and to transform it through voluntary self-offering for the sake of another. Hospitality, friendship, and repentance begin when we stop fleeing our limits and learn to meet Christ within them.

đź“Ś Orthodox Bioethics in the Midst of the Culture War With Mr. Sampson Nash.

Orthodox bioethics cannot become another weapon of fear, division, or ideological struggle. The Church is called to be a healing presence in the midst of conflict, like a spiritual Red Cross for those wounded by the culture war. This does not mean silence before sin, but truth spoken without hatred, sobriety before conspiracy, compassion before suffering, and real support for mothers, the vulnerable, and the dying. Bioethical discernment must begin from repentance, philoxenia, and the refusal to turn the human person into an enemy.

The Church heals most faithfully when she bears witness to truth through mercy, presence, and the life of Christ.
