6th Gymnasio Evosmou-Presentation Event of the Activities of the Erasmus+ Project “Working Together for Professional Future in Europe – Jobs4All” During the 2025–2026 School Year

On Wednesday, 17 June 2026, at 11:00 a.m., an information and dissemination event was held at the 6th Gymnasio Evosmou to present the progress and implementation of the Erasmus+ project “Jobs4All” (2024-1-PL01-KA210-SCH-000245891), which continued throughout the 2025–2026 school year.
During the event, students, the Project Coordinator, members of the Pedagogical Team and the teachers who participated in the three (3) project mobilities during the 2025–2026 school year, in Malta (Secretariat for Catholic Education), Poland (Szkola Podstawowa nr 1 im. Mikolaja Kopernika) and Portugal (Escola Secundária Dr. Joaquim Gomes Ferreira Alves), presented their experiences in relation to the project's subject matter and informed their colleagues about the activities that were implemented, the good practices that emerged and the benefits resulting from their participation in European cooperation activities.
The objectives and outcomes of the project were then presented, along with the educational material developed by the partner schools during the 2025–2026 school year. Particular emphasis was placed on activities aimed at developing career management skills and preparing students for their future educational and professional choices.
Special reference was made to a project workshop entitled “What is my Future?”, which was based on a questionnaire completed by 9th-grade students and focused on exploring their career preferences. Through this activity, students’ views regarding their transition from lower secondary education to upper secondary education, as well as their expectations concerning their future integration into the labour market, were examined.
Other related activities in which the school participated were also presented, including its participation in the “Europe Day 2026” event in May (a presentation of the schools of the Directorate of Secondary Education of Western Thessaloniki implementing Erasmus+ and eTwinning projects), as well as the visit of educational organisations from across Europe within the framework of Erasmus Days 2026.
Finally, teachers were informed about the opportunities offered by the European eTwinning platform for finding partners and participating in joint European activities, thus strengthening the international dimension of the school.
Project Objectives-Activities
To familiarise students with different professional environments and organisations through visits, presentations and meetings with professionals from various sectors.
To implement activities that encourage students to explore their expectations, interests and goals for the future, helping them develop a responsible attitude towards their future educational and career choices.
To develop career management skills, such as exploring professional opportunities, decision-making, cooperation and adaptability to the demands of the modern labour market home and abroad.

Erasmus+ “Jobs4All” Mobility in Portugal 27 April – 1 May 2026

The 6th Gymnasio (Junior High School) of Evosmos successfully completed the series of mobilities of the Erasmus+ KA210-SCH project “Working Together for Professional Future in Europe – Jobs4All” with the fourth mobility visit to Portugal, which took place from 27 April to 1 May 2026. The mobility involved four students and three teachers and was hosted by Escola Secundária Dr. Joaquim Gomes Ferreira Alves, Valadares, Vila Nova de Gaia in cooperation with valued partner schools from Malta and Poland.
The mobility offered students and teachers the opportunity to engage in a variety of educational and intercultural activities focused on career guidance, cooperation, and European citizenship. Participants attended presentations and workshops related to professions, future skills, and the impact of artificial intelligence on the European labour market. A particularly interesting session explored the topic “Jobs for All in the Age of AI”, encouraging students to reflect on future professional opportunities and the evolving role of technology in education and employment.
The programme also included meetings between coordinators to exchange ideas, evaluate the progress of the project, and strengthen collaboration among the participating schools. In addition, students took part in interactive and creative activities prepared by the host school, promoting teamwork, communication, and active participation in an enjoyable and inclusive environment.
Visits to local institutions, including the Municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia and the Portuguese public broadcaster RTP, helped participants gain a broader understanding of the social, cultural, and professional life of the region. These experiences contributed positively to the development of intercultural awareness and reinforced the importance of European cooperation in education.
Τhe mobility programme also offered an opportunity for cultural exploration and learning about the historical and economic identity of the region. Participants visited the Porto Leixões Cruise Terminal. The visit offered students a broader understanding of the connection between tourism, local economy, and community life. This was followed by a cruise on the Douro River, where students and teachers admired the iconic riverside architecture that characterises the city of Porto. The group also explored the famous wine cellars of the region and walked through the historic Ribeira district before visiting the renowned Livraria Lello, known for its cultural significance. Such activities of the second day contributed to the participants’ cultural awareness and allowed them to experience important aspects of Portuguese history, architecture, and local tradition.
Overall, the mobility had a meaningful educational and cultural impact on the students, helping them develop communication, collaboration, and social skills while becoming more familiar with different European cultures and perspectives. The experience also strengthened their sense of European identity and highlighted the value of international partnerships in preparing young people for their future.

Το 6ο Γυμνάσιο Ευόσμου παρουσίασε το ευρωπαϊκό πρόγραμμα Erasmus+ KA210-SCH «Working Together for a Professional Future in Europe – Jobs4All», το οποίο υλοποιείται στο σχολείο. Mikolaja Kopernika, το Escola Secundária Dr. Joaquim Gomes Ferreira Alves και σχολεία ευθύνης της Secretariat for Catholic Education.

Profession Seminar - Fair: “The Transition from High School to Lyceum and University-What Is My Future?”

As part of the Erasmus+ programme “Jobs4All”, the 6th Gymnasio Evosmou organized an open Career Guidance event for students, parents, and teachers, focusing on the transition from Gymnasium to Lykeio and future educational and career choices.
The event featured a keynote speaker and career counselor, Mr Christos Taousanis, who delivered an engaging presentation supported by videos and visual material. Students and parents had the opportunity to learn about the differences between General and Vocational Lykeio, access to Higher Education, effective study techniques, the role of AI in modern careers, and ways students can identify their interests, talents, and skills.
A key part of the event was the presentation of the results of the “What Is My Future?” Questionnaire (Workshop 5), completed by students of the final grade of Gymnasium. The survey explored students’ educational choices, career preferences, skills, and expectations for the future, showing that students are becoming increasingly aware of their strengths, interests, and ambitions.
The evening concluded with an open discussion, during which participants asked questions and received valuable guidance, encouraging active involvement and cooperation within the school community.
