PRESS RELEASE

In the framework of the implementation of the Erasmus + program entitled "Skills for work and life in Europe", 1st Professional Lyceum of Arta with teachers Sotiria Bogoyianni, Leonidas Siouli and 5 students visited Aphon Karahisar of Turkey from 1/4/2019 on 5/4/2019. The aim of the program was for students to acquire skills and competences that would make them useful in their professional and social careers.
Within the framework of the program, L. she met the specialties and the way of training the students of the Ibrahim Evren Technical School in the area of Afion as well as the local customs and cultural elements of the area through actions organized by the school.
The program included visits to monuments, museums, mosques and Turkish baths. The students also attended a local industry for the production of loukoumi, souzoukiou (beef veal) and a marble processing factory. The program ended with a visit by the participants in Smyrna, the ancient city of Ephesus and Kirkinetze, a village of the Bloody Lodges of Didos Sotiriou.

This week we hosted our dear Romanian, Italian, Greek and Portuguese partners. We showed them cultural and traditional shows, presentations, most important economic agents of Afyon, real workshops on working skills, my beautiful city Izmir and sent them home hoping that each and everyone of the group had an enjoyable, educative and homelike atmosphere and week in Turkey. We will really miss them all.
