Wololo Primary School is getting there thanks to You and multiple other amazing and generous peoples. We were able to collect 1000$ from the go fund me and facbook donation page.
As you can see on these pictures we rebuild from the ground, we have 6 classrooms instead of 2. Every single cents was efficiently used. HOWEVER, we desperately need your help to finish what we started. More than 15000$ was used for this project. We started with a big plan and a big dream for those kids, and after all the struggles and difficulties that arise from this project with still holding into those dreams.
We need your help more than ever before. School is starting in October 3r and we still have a lot to do. We still need to paint , get the tables and desk, school furnitures and more.
AM REACHING OUT AGAIN TO ASK FOR YOUR HELP, ANYTHING WILL HELP..
THANK YOU AGAIN FOR EVERYONE THAT DONATED LAST TIME AND THANKS FOR ANY FUTRE DONATIONS. GOD BLESS YOU

Bonjour; je vous invite a participer a notre action collective afin de pouvoir apporter de l'aide a nos enfants. Merci
During the December holidays, I booked a trip to visit my home country, Guinea. This time around, I decided to visit my mother’s village, Wololo, located within the city of Mamou. I fell in love with this beautiful village, but my heart was left completely broken when I encountered one of the schools. A school so small, it cannot contain all the young students.

The school was introduced in the year 2002 with only 18 students to begin with. As the years went on, more bright minds enrolled, making it a total of 95 students. There are only 2 classrooms and 2 teachers to accommodate 95 students. One can only imagine how overwhelmed the educators must be feeling. From Monday to Saturday, they commute for 14km on half-built roads to a building that has no electricity, no water, or a functioning bathroom. Additionally, students do not have enough books or stationery to work with. Despite these unimaginable circumstances, it brought joy to my heart to see the students and teachers be so optimistic. The students would sing and radiate positivity and were just so eager to learn. Teachers are really the backbones of society, the hopefulness of the two educators is what has inspired me to share their story today.

No child deserves to learn in such an environment and no teacher deserves to work in such conditions. I truly believe that change is possible however I cannot do this alone. I am reaching out to all of you beautiful and generous people to have hope and donate towards this cause.

Our goals are the following:

Fix the bathrooms, electricity, and water issues
Add more classrooms
Provide stationary for the students
Compensation for the educators

Any amount you decide to contribute will make a huge difference. All your donations will be used effectively and efficiently in order to reach our goals and to show their gratitude, each donor’s name will be engraved onto the walls of the school.

Let’s make this happen!

Thank you and God Bless you.

Hello/ bonjour
My name is Barratou Barry currently live in Ottawa, Canada.
I went to guinea ( west Africa) on December 23,2021 for 3 weeks vacation. I specially went for the first time to my Mother's Village WOLOLO. which is located in the city of Mamou; And on my surprise I found a small and tiny school in that village with only 2 classrooms
Wololo is located on the North of the city center which is 22 km away from the city.
With the help of it own community, wololo school was created on the year of 2000 with only 18 students at the time. But currently the school count 95 students with only 2 classrooms. Which is 1st and 2nd grade.
The school have only 2 teachers and they have to walk 14 km everyday to teach these kids
I was overwhelmed and pleasantly surprised when I heard some kids reciting loudly and repeating after their teacher inside of a old small facility with only 2 classrooms in the worst condition imaginable.
At that point the first thing that came up in my mind was “WOW how is this possible, to have no water no electricity no Road, But they still find the courage the time the effort to come every day from, Monday to Saturday in order to learn and try to achieve something in these awful conditions “
I was speechless and happy at the same time to see that education can still be a priority in these far and remote places. I was able to interact and communicate with these kids and the teacher. He explained the struggles and difficulties that they have to experience on a regular basic. Some of the most important are:
-Adding more classroom, until level 6 at least;
-A school direction;
- Access to clean water;
-School supply ( books; pens and pencil; chalkboard…)
-School uniforms;
-School desk, tables an chairs for both teachers and students;
-bathrooms ( currently both teachers and students don’t have access to modern bathroom)….

So I’m begging each and everyone of you to help these kids. It could be you, me or someone we know in the same positions. I really want to help, I have the relations and a team ready to make this happened, but I cant do it by myself. As the elders says “we need a whole village to raise one kid" We need finances and donations.
So am turning to you beautiful and generous people to help them with anything you can. All your donations will be used effectively and efficiently in order to reach our goals. And anyone who donated will have their name graved on the school walls.
I promised and guarantee that you wont regret donating to WOLOLO SHOOL. You will have access to regular updates and all the progress that we are making.
Our page is WOLOLO SCHOOL
I also attached some pictures and video that I took with the students. It shows they current school conditions.
For any question please email at [email protected]
THANKS YOU AND MAY GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE ONE YOU.
LET MAKE THIS HAPPEN.
