Our June calendar is packed with exciting events you cannot afford to miss at Alliance Française de Banjul. From the Miss & Mister Francophonie competition and a special French Apéro Blind Test to win a ticket for the World Music Day, to World Music Day on the 13th, movie nights, kids' cinema and a month-long artist residency by Kha Bamba.

There is something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you are passionate about music, film, art, language or culture, our June programmes offer you the opportunities to learn, connect and celebrate creativity in all its forms.

🎶 CELEBRATE WORLD MUSIC DAY 2026 AT ALLIANCE FRANÇAISE DE BANJUL

World Music Day is celebrated on June 21st, but this year we couldn't wait ! Join us on 13 June 2026 for a day dedicated to music, culture and artistic expression.

From 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, enjoy a range of free daytime activities including drumming and painting workshops, live performances & a jam session, a Kora concert by Jali Susso, and a DJ performance.

The celebration will continue in the evening with The Big Show, a.k.a. Le méga concert, featuring performances by:

🎤 Jali Madi
🎤 Maryama & Barhama Cham
🎧 DJ Thugla

A unique opportunity to celebrate the power of music and support local talent!

Be informed that Alliance Française de Banjul will be closed on May 27th and 28th and please noted that the reception and library services will also be closed on Friday, May 29th.
