It’s a wrap!

The Competency-Based Project Management Training organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment (MOTIE) in partnership with the Center for Policy, Research and Strategic Studies (CepRass) successfully concluded.

Held over 4 days, the training empowered MOTIE staff with essential project management skills—ranging from fundamentals, strategic initiation, stakeholder engagement, to risk management and hands-on proposal writing.

The training, guided by a contract agreement signed between MOTIE and CepRass, delivered a practical and blended learning experience, including lectures, case studies, group work, and post-training support.

A special vote of thanks was delivered by the MOTIE team to express appreciation to the CepRass trainers for their commitment and insightful delivery.

Sincere thanks to all participants for their dedication throughout the 4-day session. We celebrate this successful collaboration and look forward to building more capacities for a more effective public service.

Day 3 | Competency-Based Project Management Training

Today was all about practical application!
Participants dove into stakeholder and communication management, explored resource-based monitoring and evaluation, and wrapped up with a hands-on session on project risk management. Each session brought valuable insights and real-world strategies.

Our expert trainers, including Dr. Lamin B. Ceesay, Dr. Lamin Fatou Bayo, and Dr. Gibriel Badjie, guided the participants through hands-on activities, group discussions, and case studies tailored to MOTIE's specific project needs.

This training was made possible through a contract agreement between MOTIE and CepRass to build the capacity of MOTIE staff on effective project management strategies.

🌍 CepRass Partners with University of Essex & University of Oxford for a Groundbreaking Air Quality Study in Kanifing Municipality! 🌿📊

CepRass is delighted to partner with the University of Essex, University of Oxford, and top researchers for a pioneering air quality study in Kanifing Municipality! This year-long project, which began in February 2025 and will run until February 2026, aims to systematically monitor and assess air pollution levels across the region, providing vital data to support environmental research and policy development.

📌 Key Highlights of the Study:

✅ Daily air quality monitoring at 18 designated locations across Kanifing.

✅ Collection of particulate matter concentrations and other key pollutants.

✅ Use of advanced air quality monitors, smartphones, and digital mapping tools for precise data.

✅ Collaboration with leading researchers to analyze trends and identify public health risks.

✅ Generation of policy-relevant insights to support sustainable urban planning and environmental management.

As urban air pollution continues to grow, this study will bridge critical data gaps, offering evidence-based solutions to protect public health and enhance urban sustainability.
