PICTORIAL:
The Technical Class Students today embarked on practical stimulation exercises with their Meta Work teacher, Mr. Sheik Tijan Loppy, who was supported by the Head of Technical Department Mr. Baboucarr Sanyang.
It was amazing seeing Students practice what they have been taught in the class, most especially the female students, as the field is a male dominated area. These young girls have demonstrated the saying that what a man can do, a woman can do better.

January 27th, 2026, the Agricultural Science Department, under the leadership of Madam Sarah Mprem, received over 100 dwarf Pakaya (Pawpaw) seedlings from an organization called Bayekat Smart Agriculture, on behalf of the school administration and Agricultural Science students by extension. According Mr. Tamba, one of our agricultural teachers, said the trees are currently doing well and are about 1.5 CM tall, and once they reach 1 meter, they will start flowering and subsequently start producing fruits. He added that these Pawpaw trees are the improved varieties, and within a period of six months, they will start the sales of the fruits. He said a tree can bear up to 60 to 70 fruits. When asked about the availability of the market for the fruits, Tamba said, the market is already available as it was part of the agreement between the school and Bayekat Smart Agriculture that the organization will be buying it from the school.
In another update, the coordinator of the vegetable garden, Mr. Mustapha Njie expressed optimism on the progress and the level of commitment of the students towards the garden. He said the department is expecting a bumper harvest year as iceberg lettuces are currently on sale. He said the bitter tomatoes, cabbages, green pepper, garden eggs, and onions are all doing very well.
Below are some videos and pictures taken from the transplanting and the current state of the two gardens. The school is not only focusing on the theory aspect of our Agricultural Science Field but also practical, where students from both Upper and Senior sections are taken to the gardens to have first hand knowledge of what has been taught within the four corners of the classrooms.
