Yesterday, Salifu Darboe, a former student and head boy of Kuloro Upper Basic School, held his maiden poetry launch at the school. The event brought together students, community leaders, teachers, parents, and other dignitaries who gathered to show their support.

The poetry concert was a great success. Salifu and his team demonstrated remarkable talent, creativity, and passion, captivating the audience with powerful and inspiring poems. The performances truly moved the spectators and reflected a high level of dedication and artistic growth.

We were proud to be present to support him as a former student, celebrating his journey and achievements. His progress is a clear reflection of hard work, commitment, and the pursuit of excellence.

Kuloro Upper Basic School has successfully concluded the final Home Economics cookery practical for our Grade 9 students as part of the 2026 GABECE.

Our candidates demonstrated impressive culinary skills, creativity, discipline, and proper hygiene throughout the practical. The exercise also reflected their ability to manage time effectively and present their dishes with confidence.

We commend all the students for their hard work and dedication, and we wish them success in the rest of their examinations.

Earlier this afternoon, the Physical and Health Education students conducted their final practical performance test at the school grounds under the supervision of Mr. Demba Sowe, the WAEC supervisor.

The practical test included the 4x100m relay race, gymnastics activities, badminton, and concluded with handball penalty shots.

A total of 84 students took part in the practical test.

We wish all the students the very best of luck in their final West African Senior School Certificate Examination.

Aminata Demba – now at Mansa Colley Senior Secondary School, scored an aggregate of 10

Fatoumatta Susso – now at Nusrat Senior Secondary School, scored an impressive aggregate of 6

Kadijatou – now at Sheikh Hamdan Senior Secondary School, scored an aggregate of 12

Hopes are high for these young girls as they take this important step forward in their academic journey.

Rising Above Excellence: Amie Shines with Outstanding WASSCE Results Ahead of Her Final Year

We are proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of our Shine Light Girls’ Assembly Speaker, Amie, whose WASSCE results for Private Candidates have been released with an excellent performance.

Amie scored six (6) credits, including English and Mathematics, along with three (3) passes, a remarkable accomplishment that qualifies her for admission to the University of The Gambia.

This milestone reflects her determination, discipline, and commitment to academic excellence. It is important to note that Amie is currently in Grade 12, preparing to sit for her final WASSCE examinations. Her decision to take the private exam was a strategic step to strengthen her academic standing ahead of her final year.
