Tanji Upper and Senior Secondary School

*Tanji UB/SSS students had a lengthy discussion earlier today with some health personnels about reproductive health. 35 students were selected to participate in the discussion, 10 students from grade 8, 10 students from 9 and 15 students from the senior secondary. The discussion was centered on Early marriage, Teenage Pregnancy and Menstrual Health Care. The students were brief about how to calculate their menstrual cycle and what to do when they are forced by their parents to get married to someone whom they don’t want to marry, when they also encounter s*x r**e issues etc.

The digging of the foundation to fence the garden is now in progress.

Teachers are still working hard to make sure students learn things out of the classroom. Good job Tanji Upper and Senior Secondary School teachers

A busy week in the school. The first badge of the school grade 12s starts receiving their papers, as papers are coming out we can say that the teachers, students and parents have worked hard to make it happen. First badge is not an easy thing but it's great to see lots of students come out with good marks, as you can see some of them with 8 credits, 7 credits, 6 credits and some 5 credits. A big thanks to everyone.

*The Agric Department of the school sponsored Mr A Camara, the garden manager to start molding cement blocks in preparation of fencing the school garden after having an interview with him last month, he stated some of the obstacles he faced such as challenges from people and animals entering the garden and lack of water in the garden. Financially he's been supported by the Agricultural Department of the school by providing a tap in the garden and mold some cement blocks to fence the garden, in which the grade 11 students molded the blocks earlier this morning in a perfect shape.* ```Thanks to the Agricultural Department of Tanji Upper and Senior Secondary School for doing everything ♥️🌹```Write by: Mr. Conteh

We are here in the my farm for our first visit, and here we meet Lamin F Jammeh, who will take us through.

It's great happiness to receive these tools to make learning easier in school and we are saying a very big thanks to the donor and all those who make it possible for these to get to the school. More of these are needed as the world is moving to digital learning.
