PHE DEPARTMENT IN COLLABORATION WITH GCSU
The Department of Physical and Health Education (PHE) hereby announces an Open Football Trial for all students of the University of Education, The Gambia.
This selection process is organized to identify and assemble a 25-man squad that will represent UEG in upcoming football competitions. The competition is expected to be highly competitive, and only the most prepared and disciplined players will be selected.
ELIGIBILITY:
This trial is open to all students from the following faculties/departments:
- Public Health
- Agriculture
- Nursing
- Education
DETAILS OF THE TRIAL:
- Date: Tuesday, 5th May
- Time: 15:00 (3:00 PM prompt)
- Venue: UEG Brikama Campus Main Field
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:
- Participants must arrive early for registration and warm-up.
- All players must come with full sportswear (boots, kits, and training gear).
- Lateness will result in automatic disqualification.
- Discipline, fitness, and readiness will be strictly observed during selection.
This is a serious selection process aimed at building a strong and competitive university team. Students are strongly encouraged to participate and demonstrate their sporting ability.

GCSU: MESSAGE OF APPRECIATION.
The 43rd Executive of the Gambia College Students’ Union (GCSU) extends its profound appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to all students, staff, and stakeholders who contributed to the successful Iftar gathering held today at the Brikama Campus.
We sincerely thank students from the four sister schools, the dedicated staff members who honored the occasion with their presence, the various sub-associations that collaborated with the Nutrition Team, and every individual who supported the initiative in diverse ways. Your participation, cooperation, and collective spirit made the gathering a memorable and meaningful event.
Iftar, the meal taken at sunset to break the fast during the holy month of Ramadan, carries profound spiritual and social significance. Beyond nourishment, it symbolizes unity, compassion, gratitude, and solidarity among members of the community. Coming together to share Iftar strengthens brotherhood and sisterhood, fosters mutual understanding, and reminds us of the virtues of generosity, humility, and care for one another.
