The EDUSA - PLO Lumumba Foundation Convergence is the flagship initiative of the 16th Executive Council. It is aimed at creating a platform for dialogue, leadership development, and nation-building.

In a show of appreciation and gratitude to the benefactors of EDUSA, the 16th Executive Council, under the dynamic leadership of President Ebrima H. Secka and Vice President Kaddijatou Colley, together with council members, paid a courtesy call on Hon. Bakary Demba on Sunday at his residence in Kabafita.

The visit is part of the council's drive to foster stronger partnerships and express appreciation for Hon. Dembaโ€™s continuous support for education and student welfare.

During the engagement, President Secka briefed Hon. Demba on the councilโ€™s strategic plans and programmes, including the upcoming EDUSA Week, Face of EDUSA, and the Retreat. He also thanked him for his benevolence towards the education students at the University of The Gambia.

Council members echoed similar sentiments, commending Hon. Dembaโ€™s spirit of support for EDUSA programmes and initiatives, and further thanked him for his contribution.

In response, Hon. Demba commended the leadership of the 16th Executive Council for their commitment and pledged his continued support to EDUSAโ€™s initiatives aimed at advancing education in The Gambia.

The meeting concluded with both parties reaffirming their commitment to collaboration for the betterment of education students.

The 16th Executive Council through its Gender and Health Ministry, in collaboration with GAMCUP, will conduct a free menstrual cup training for fifty EDUSANs.

The training aims to educate students on the proper use, benefits, and maintenance of menstrual cups as a sustainable and cost-effective menstrual health solution.
It further seeks to promote menstrual health, hygiene, and economic empowerment among students.

This initiative reflects the Councilโ€™s commitment to gender equity, health education, and student welfare.

The 16th Executive Council of the Education Students' Association (EDUSA) is pleased to announce the successful signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jokkolabs Banjul today, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at creating greater opportunities for education students of the University of The Gambia.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to empowering young people through innovation, digital transformation, entrepreneurship, leadership development, and capacity-building initiatives. The partnership will provide EDUSA members with access to training, mentorship, networking opportunities, and innovative programs that will equip them with the skills needed to thrive in today's rapidly evolving world.

Speaking after the signing ceremony, representatives from both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to fostering a productive relationship that will benefit education students and contribute meaningfully to national development.

The 16th Executive Council extends its sincere appreciation to the Director of Finance and Administration Auntie Annette Sambou and the management of JOKKOLABS Banjul for their confidence in EDUSA and their willingness to collaborate in advancing youth empowerment and educational excellence.
