*DAVID CORREA’S KIDNEY SURGERY SUCCESSFUL*
Dear all,
We are very glad to share with you that David Correa’s kidney surgery has been successfully performed in India. Currently, David is under intensive care for a fast recovery. May Allah reward all of you abundantly for your donations towards saving his life.
Nevertheless, David is expected to spend 2-3 months in India during his recovery period while the two (2) of his escorts (mom & brother) prepare to return to The Gambia early next week. As such, he (David) will need GMD65,000.00 for feeding and other miscellaneous expenses while the Gambia Government pays for all his medical bills through its High Commission in India.
Thus, as we make this our final donation drive for Mr. David, kindly use any of the means below to send us your donations. In the interim, donation boxes will be placed in all UTG campuses for same purpose.

We are glad to inform all our esteemed donors and the public that David Correa is lucky to be the first ever beneficiary of the recent bilateral agreement (MoU) entered into by The Gambia High Commission in New Delhi, India and Aster MIMs Hospital. The agreement, which was penned on behalf of the Gambia government by His Excellency Ambassador Mustapha Jawara, will accord Mr. David Correa as a beneficiary full payment of his renal (kidney) transplant amounting to $14,000.
We wish to thank the Gambia government through its High Commissioner, His Excellency Ambassador Mustapha Jawara, for registering such a great multinational deal to ease expenditure on Gambian kidney patients in India.

REQUEST FOR FURTHER FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR DAVID CORREA
Dear all, please be informed that Mr. David Correa has successfully landed in India and well responding to plenary treatment before the renal transplant.

MESSAGE OF APPRECIATION AND CALL FOR MORE FINANCIAL SUPPORT
On behalf of Mr. David Correa, we write to express our sincere appreciation to every person who donated towards his medical bills.
We are pleased to share with you that we have so far received over GMD50, 000. 00 from and outside the country. We are also pleased to share with you that Mr. David has today gone for dialysis and he is safely back home. While the frequent dialysis continues until enough funds is gathered for his oversea treatment, we call on everyone, in the interest of humanity, to help intensify our funding drive for his recommended international treatment.
Kindly note that the GMD5000.00 specified in our first dispatch has been immediately corrected following a fact finding from the authorities. Further, we wish to strongly state that costs for frequent dialysis is a financial burden that Mr. Correa and his family are finding extremely difficult to discharge.
As all his medical documents are at the finishing point, we therefore call on all persons to shoulder the cause of life saving.

Policy summary of the Alliance Presidential candidate, Mr. Omar Dibba
03/11/2022
ALLIANCE APPROVED CANDIDATES RENEW PARTNERSHIP COMMITMENT WITH UniGaMSA
In its efforts to strengthen partnership with the UniGaMSA Executive Council, the Alliance Ten-Man Committee and approved candidates today held hours-long meeting with their UniGaMSA counterparts. The interface accorded both parties the opportunity to squarely discuss challenges faced by medical students and how they could be addressed through policy-centered approaches and affirmative actions in-line with the Alliance agenda for the forthcoming UTGSU Election.
The UniGaMSA Executive Council welcomed the remarkable pre-election engagement as a rightful step towards not only addressing problems (lack of portal, delays in premed and biochemical transfers, non-permanent residence/accommodation, lack of a progressive curriculum, socio-political exclusion from the main union, lack of funds for electives, among others) faced by students of the medical school, but to also drive a vision that could help make UTG a great place for all.
The dialogue, which was spearheaded by the Alliance Presidential candidate, Mr. Omar Dibba, was wrapped with strong assurance and commitment for partnership, collaboration, and cooperation between both sides.
The team further visited the Medical School Hostel and the SRN Dormitories to acquire first-hand information about the conditions of the facilities in the said residences. The team had extensive engagements with the occupants of the male and female dormitories who equally shared series of concerns.
To this end, we wish to the thank the UniGaMSA Executive Council for the warmth reception accorded to our team and the students for their participation in the engagements held. While we look forward to working with all students, we highly encourage all to support the agenda of Team Alliance to ensure they elect into office a responsible and a lead-efficient student government that is pragmatic in approach, democratic in governance, and most importantly, responsive to your demands even where impossible.
