The University of the Gambia is pleased to invite applications for admission into the following Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degree Programmes tenable at the University of The Gambia, commencing 2017/2018 Academic year

1-Undergraduate Degree Programmes:

1. B:Sc: Civil Engineering

2. B:Sc: Electrical Engineering



Admission Requirements:

Candidates must have five WASSCE/GCE“O” Level credits including English Language and Mathematics plus any two of the following Science subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology.



2-Post graduate Degree Programmes (3 Semester MASTER OF PHILOSOPHY (MPhil) PROGRAMMES) in:

1-Agriculture

2-Physics

3-Biology

4-Chemistry

5-Epidemiology

6-Development Studies

7-Public Administration

8-Law

9-Computer Science/Information Systems

10-Economics

11-Education


Admission Requirements

A good academic Masters degree (MA, M.Sc, M.Ed, LLM, etc) of the University of The Gambia or equivalent degrees of other recognized institutions by UTG.

APPLICATION FORMS:

Application forms are available at The University Accounts Office, Brikama Campus, Gambia College upon payment of a non-refundable fee of D300.00 for Undergraduate programmes and &D750.00 for MPhil programmes at any Trust Bank Ltd, UTG Account. Completed application forms, together with photocopies of relevant certificates and other supporting documents should reach the Admissions Office, Brikama

Call for Applications for Admission: 2016/2017 Academic Year
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into Undergraduate degree programmes in the different fields of study in the University of The Gambia. This includes the recently introduced Journalism and Digital Media programme. Mature as well as Regular candidates can apply for admission. For information on the programmes and admission requirements, kindly contact the University Finance Office for the appropriate brochure.
APPLICATION FORMS:
Application forms are obtainable from the University Finance Office, Faraba Banta Campus at a non- refundable fee of D300 (Regular), & D500 (Matured) respectively. Completed application forms, together with photocopies of relevant certificates and other supporting documents should be submitted to the Admissions Office, Brikama Campus, Gambia College not later than July 2016
Note
Candidates admitted into the University will be required to pay tuition fee for at least one semester, before they can register for courses. The tuition fee covers tuition and other charges. Costs of books and learning materials must be covered by the student. Information on Tuition Fees for the different programmes can later be obtained from the University Finance Office.

THE GALA DINNER

1. The gala is aimed at improving social ties among UTG students.

2. The gala is incorporated with the annual students retreat.

3. The gala is not a couples' Program (prom); rather,everyone can come on their own with simple and formal outfit.

4. It will be a rich and high quality program; a world class standard. Food and refreshment will be available (for free).

5. The gala is funded by the admin and UTGSU.

However, only 200 out of the 5000 UTG students and staff will have the privilege of attending the program as postulated in the budget.

Consequently, limited D200-tickets are issued for students seeking to grace the occasion.

Tickets will be sold prior and during the program.

Am I eligible?

In order to submit an eligible application for a Chevening Scholarship, you must:
* Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country, and intend to return there for a minimum of two years after completing your award * Hold an undergraduate degree * Have at least two years' work experience before applying * Not have previously received funding from the UK government to study in the UK Before being awarded a scholarship, selected candidates must also:
* Meet the Chevening English language requirement * Hold an unconditional offer from a UK university
