On Friday, the Students’ Union Government (SUG) of American International University West Africa (AIUWA) successfully held an engagement with partner organizations behind the Socio-Ecological Transformation of the Food System for the Growth of a Green and Organic Economy project.
The engagement was facilitated by Green-2-Growth Gambia Project, CISS Cooperazione Internazionale Sud Sud, and Speak Out Africa, with funding support from the European Union. The session focused on environmental sustainability, green growth, organic food systems, and the role of young people in driving ecological and socio-economic transformation.
Students actively participated in discussions centered on climate action, sustainable agriculture, and community-based solutions for national development. The engagement created a platform for knowledge sharing and awareness.
SUG received a D10,000 token of appreciation.
