Tanji Got Talent Organisation has grown from a simple community idea into a recognized and impactful talent development organization. What began as thoughtful conversations and a shared concern for the educational and moral well-being of young people has evolved into a structured platform dedicated to discovering, nurturing, and empowering talent.

In its early years, the organization focused on grassroots mentorship organizing free weekend classes and creative sessions for children. These humble beginnings laid a strong foundation, helping young participants build confidence, discipline, and self-expression through writing, speaking, acting, and poetry.

Over time, Tanji Got Talent Organisation group 🌟 expanded both in reach and structure. It brought together a diverse group of actors, actresses, poets, writers, and creatives who shared a common purpose: using talent as a tool for positive change. The organization became formally registered and certified, marking a major milestone and strengthening its credibility across communities.

Through consistent programs, performances, and community engagements, Tanji Got Talent has provided opportunities for young talents to showcase their skills, gain exposure, and develop leadership qualities. Many beneficiaries have experienced personal breakthroughs academically, creatively, and socially reflecting the organization’s long-standing vision of transforming lives one child at a time.

It gives us great pleasure to introduce the host and MC for the grand launching of Echoes of Change — Mr. Momodou Lamin Colley, a devoted teacher, community leader, and humanitarian who embodies the spirit of service and transformation.

A proud native of Tanji Village, Mr. Colley is a passionate educator currently serving at Tanji Lower Basic School, where he continues to inspire, nurture, and empower young minds. Prior to this, he dedicated seven impactful years to teaching at Kanuma Basic Cycle School in Foni, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and positive change.

Beyond his professional life as an educator, Mr. Colley wears many leadership hats in community service. He is the founder and CEO of Jamorai Gambia Foundation, a charitable organization committed to uplifting underprivileged children and supporting vulnerable families in poverty-stricken communities. His compassion-driven leadership has touched lives far and wide.

In addition, he serves as the Coordinator of the Ex-Students Association of Tanji Lower Basic School and as the Deputy Education Committee Leader of the Tanji Youth in Solidarity Association, where he continues to lead with integrity, collaboration, and vision.

For Mr. Colley, helping others is not just a duty — it’s a calling. His passion for education, youth empowerment, and social development stands as a true testament to the transformative power of service.

With his charisma, insight, and deep sense of purpose, Mr. Colley will guide us through an unforgettable evening of inspiration, reflection, and celebration.

On 16th July 2025, Tanji Ex-Students Association (TESA) proudly took part in the Tanji Lower Basic School Graduation Ceremony - a tradition that forms part of our annual commitment to giving back to our beloved alma mater.

As part of our dedication to promoting academic excellence and celebrating hard work, we presented gifts 🎁 to the most outstanding and outgoing students of the graduating class.

It was a heartwarming moment to witness the brilliance and enthusiasm of the next generation. We extend our warmest congratulations to all the graduates and express our gratitude to the school for continuously welcoming our support.

Ex-Students of Tanji Lower Basic School Honor Outstanding Athletes in Maiden Inter-House Athletics Competition

In the early hours of the 16th April, 2025, the Ex-Students Association of Tanji Lower Basic School proudly awarded certificates to all outstanding athletes who excelled in the school’s first-ever athletics competition, widely known as the Inter-House.

This event marked yet another milestone in the association’s ongoing commitment to give back to their beloved alma mater. Previously, the group has been actively recognizing academic excellence by awarding brilliant students across Levels 1 to 6 in all core subjects. However, this latest initiative focused specifically on honoring athletic talent — certifying students who delivered exceptional performances in both track and field events.

A strong number of association members turned up for the occasion, led by their dynamic and committed president, Miss Rosalinda L. Mendy. She took the mic to announce the names of the awardees with energy and pride. This was followed by a heartfelt speech from the ever-reliable and inspiring Mr. Sankung Darboe, who spoke directly to the rising stars of the school, sharing the association’s vision and reminding everyone why it was formed — to uplift, support, and celebrate excellence.

In a touching gesture, teachers of the school were given the honor of handing over the certificates to the deserving students, further highlighting the strong collaboration between past and present members of the school community.

The school administration expressed deep gratitude to the Ex-Students Association for their continued generosity and dedication. They applauded the group’s efforts and expressed hope that this magnificent tradition of giving back will only grow stronger.
