Strengthening Partnerships for Adolescent Health in URR
Earlier this week, a team from the Comprehensive Health and Sexuality Education (CHES) Scale-Up Project, led by Principal Investigator Dr. Jainaba Sey and Co-Principal Investigator Mrs. Phebian I.G. Sagnia, embarked on a successful courtesy engagement mission in the Upper River Region (URR).
The team met with the Governor’s Office, Regional Health and Education Directorates, school leaders, and community stakeholders to reinforce collaboration and local ownership of the CHES Scale-Up Project, which focuses on empowering both in-school and out-of-school adolescents.
Stakeholders expressed strong support for the initiative, recognizing its vital role in addressing child marriage, gender-based violence, menstrual health, and other key SRHR challenges.
Together, we move forward with shared commitment to improving adolescent health and well-being across The Gambia. 💪🏽🇬🇲
