Today we launched the , and H. E. David Belgrove, O.B.E, British High Commissioner to The Gambia officially presided over the opening ceremony.

As Chairman of the Board of Directors, I am honoured to be part of this great venture.

Some sixty years ago, my father left his village which had no running water, no electricity and no school to settle in Banjul.

I was lucky to be born in Banjul and had the privilege to attend the best schools in The Gambia at that time.

Today, I have build a huge network of lifetime friends because of the various schools I attended, especially St. Augustine’s High School () alumni network.

Today, we are planting the seedlings of the tree that would grow to be an oak tree, providing guidance and shaping the NextGen of leadership in this country and beyond.

Unlike the son of the village man, my children (the grandchildren of the village man) will be privileged to compete with their peers in London, California, Lome, Lagos, on the same level since is a COBIS Candidate School and would follow the British curriculum and educational guidelines.

The NextGen will be thought a group of global educators whose experience and knowledge are amongst the best.

We are proud to bring this opportunity to the door steps of Gambians and we hope that our children and students will be prepared to compete with their peers on a level playing field.

We thank all of the people that supported BISG during this challenging journey.

The grade 9 students are preparing to sit for their examination on 20Th/07/20. What advice would you give them?

MoBSE has announced that the reopening of schools for Grade nine students is scheduled for Wednesday 24Th June 2020. And that of the Grade 12 will be announced later. At such, all the other categories of students are urged to stay at home until further notice.

Tuesday April 7th, 2020 marks the end of the 21 day closure of schools declared by the President of The Republic of The Gambia. MOBSE Minister said schools will remain closed until further notice.

Mustapha Sonko aka Paragon and Musa aka Sly former secretary general and former Education and Research Secretary at the University of the Gambia. The great duo always keeping it together.
