We are proud to take another strategic step in strengthening academic excellence at CSU (formerly MDI) through continuous professional development.

As part of our commitment to enhancing teaching and assessment practices, CSU successfully launched its first faculty development workshop titled:

“Designing Cognitive and Content-Balanced Exams Using a Table of Specifications (TOS).”
This intensive one-day training brought together university tutors in an engaging and practical learning environment. Through interactive sessions, live demonstrations, and hands-on activities, participants gained critical skills in:

• Developing and applying a Table of Specifications (TOS)
• Designing balanced, fair, and valid examination papers
• Aligning assessment with cognitive levels and course content

By the end of the workshop, tutors demonstrated the ability to design their own TOS frameworks, equipping them to implement best practices in assessment and ultimately enhance student learning outcomes.

This marks the beginning of a series of impactful professional development initiatives aimed at positioning CSU as a leader in quality higher education.
