π¦ Dinosaur Week Has Arrived! π¦
This week, all of our classrooms are stepping back in time as we begin our exciting Dinosaur Week! From the tiniest explorers to our oldest learners, the children have been offered a range of engaging learning experiences filled with sensory textures, curiosity, creativity, and, of course, lots of dinosaur fun.
Dinosaurs are a favourite topic every year and provide endless opportunities for children to immerse themselves in imaginative play, explore different sensory experiences, and express their creativity through a variety of activities. Whether theyβre digging for fossils, creating dinosaur artwork, exploring messy sensory trays, or stomping and roaring with their friends, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
We canβt wait to see where their imaginations take them as they embark on this prehistoric adventure!
π¦ We hope everyone has a ROAR-some week! π¦

π Purposeful Play Begins with Nature π
At Queensway Nursery and Preschool, nature isnβt just something we explore, itβs at the heart of everything we do.
From baskets filled with leaves, stones, sticks, pinecones, and other natural treasures, children are invited to investigate, create, imagine, and learn through open-ended play. These simple resources hold endless possibilities, encouraging curiosity, problem-solving, creativity, and independent thinking.
By replacing plastic toys with authentic, open-ended resources, we create opportunities for children to become inventors, storytellers, artists, scientists, and explorers, all while developing a lifelong love and respect for nature.
πΏ Inspiring creativity
πΏ Encouraging curiosity
πΏ Supporting independent thinking
πΏ Nurturing a connection with the natural world
Because sometimes the simplest resources create the richest learning experiences π±

πΏβ¨ Little hands, big imaginations β¨πΏ
At Queensway Nursery & Preschool, we believe childhood should be filled with fresh air, muddy hands, creativity, and wonder. ππͺ΅πΈ
Outdoor play is more than just fun, it helps children build confidence, develop creativity, strengthen their bodies, and connect with the natural world around them. Every day outside is an opportunity to explore, discover, create, and grow. π
By encouraging children to play and learn in nature, we are helping raise a generation that loves, respects, and cares for the world around them. π±
Because the best classrooms donβt always have four walls. πΏ

ππΏ Our babies loved exploring the wildlife in our beautiful local park today, watching the koi carp swim peacefully through the pond.
We feel so blessed to have such a special place right on our doorstep for our little ones to enjoy, explore, and connect with nature every day πβ¨

π βIf children donβt grow up knowing about nature and appreciating it, they will not understand it. And if they donβt understand it, they wonβt protect it. And if they donβt protect it, who will?β - Sir David Attenborough π
