Congratulations to Our Heads of School for 2026/27, Gema and Lily! 🌟
One of the most important parts of our transition into a new academic year is the appointment of our Heads of School.
Each year, we receive applications of an impressively high standard, demonstrating exceptional commitment, leadership, and dedication to our school community.
This year, however, the standard was particularly outstanding. 👏
Gema and Lily have demonstrated outstanding leadership potential, a strong commitment to our school community, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference. We are confident they will be excellent ambassadors for the school and inspiring role models for their peers.
We look forward to seeing all they will accomplish in the year ahead.

Our Year 10 students experienced a Sixth Form Taster Day designed to help them start thinking about their futures and subject choices.
From highly engaging lessons, our students explored both A Level and BTEC options, giving them a real insight into the personalised learning experience and individual support that make our school unique.
The day encouraged students to think about their strengths, interests and ambitions, while discovering the flexibility and opportunities available to them beyond GCSEs.
It also included some well-earned pizza, giving students the chance to relax, socialise and continue discussing their future aspirations together! 🍕

It is fantastic to see so many of our students continuing to achieve sporting success both inside and outside of school.
Here are just a few recent highlights from our rowing students at the Copa de Andalucía de Remo. Sophia and her partner Lily raced over 1km, finishing first in their heat and second overall with a time of 4 minutes 22 seconds. Giulia also competed over 1km alongside her partner Maria, achieving an impressive third place overall.
It was wonderful to see all of the students competing, alongside former Prior student Isabella and Sofia who were both looking very happy. 🚣♀️

Prior Park Day of Sport 🏆
This afternoon, our students competed in a series of sporting events to decide which house would take home the Inter House Cup! ⚽🏏🏓🎾
Events included rounders, cricket, football, padel, table tennis and netball, and there was plenty of teamwork, determination and house spirit on display.
Congratulations to Rooke House, who were crowned winners today. 👏
A brilliant afternoon of sport, that was rounded off with some delicious ice cream.
Thank you to for the arranging this delicious treat for our students! 🍦

The Games are taking place this summer in Glasgow, and today Prior Park had the honour of welcoming the King’s Baton as part of the traditional Baton Relay.🏅
The Baton’s journey will visit all 74 nations and territories of the Commonwealth, travelling through the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, the Americas, Oceania and Europe before arriving in Glasgow for the Games.
We were delighted that the Baton visited our school, making today’s Day of Sports even more special and inspiring for our pupils.
A very inspiring assembly this morning, maybe one day some of our talented students with represent Gibraltar with pride in these games.

“You do not have to choose who you’ll be forever.”
This week, as part of our careers week programme, we welcomed back former Maths teacher, Héctor Lozano, to speak to students.
Héctor shared his journey through Architecture, Teaching, and Psychology, encouraging students to stay curious, embrace change, and see their careers as an evolving pathways rather than a fixed decision.
It was great to have you back at Prior Park Héctor, delivering such an inspiring message. 👏
