Kitted out for Volunteer gardening today at the Winton Library garden. Got given my uniform today and I already had the badge on my cap from the Coy Pond garden I sometimes also volunteer in.
The Job Centre is fully supportive of my voluntary work: in part of my online contract with them I pledge to continue my voluntary work with the Bournemouth Natural Science Society and London Natural History Society/London Natural History Museum library.

Went aboard Galleon Andalucua—an 18th Century Galleon live size functional replica today—berthed at Poole harbour. It felt very solid. Brilliant engineering.

A polyphenism is a version of an organism with a singular genome, but when it exists in different environments that genome, though remaining the same, is expressed in a markedly different way of adaptive exactness: an adequate education transforms a human being into a functional social contributor and a lack of it into an anarchic depredator, so this talk explores if what makes members of our species dysfunctionally evil is a deficiently mentally structured human polyphenism.

To everyone who bought a Peruvian apple cactus from me, I am very pleased to say that mine have flowered for the first time this summer, so are likely to produce fruit.

This other garden at the Gibraltar Heritage Trust patios I built from scratch, though it was just the plants I contributed. I am allowed as a contributing volunteer to take cuttings out of the plants I have grown there, to make new plants which I then sell, and I made many.
In this first picture, in the top centre of the shoot, you can see an Epiphyllum oxypetallum cactus that has grown to two storeys in height. It has exceptionally large flowers which are pollinated by bats and only open fully at night

My small scale commercial Garden at Casemates Square at present. It has gone through several generations since I first started. By this time next year most of the plants will be sold and I'll be living in England.
I'll be leaving a few large plants there, outside the shops who let me have a place to mature my plants to sell.

Lovely show of Nasturtiums leaves I've got at the GEMA Art gallery garden. As this is an eco-garden meant to encourage wildlife I have allowed the cabbage white butterfly to lay its eggs under the leaves. The caterpillars will no doubt devour the plant as I've seem them do before. They are in for a nice salad! 😀
