Our field trip yesterday was truly awesome and educational. The learners had the opportunity to explore the Art Exhibition at Keta Senior High Technical School (KETASCO), where they appreciated creativity and artistic expression at its finest.
We then visited Fort Prinzenstein, where the children learned deeply about the trans-Atlantic slave trade, the painful history of exploitation, and the significance of the infamous “Gate of No Return.” It was a powerful moment of reflection and historical understanding.
Finally, we ended the trip at Keta Beach, where the learners enjoyed some refreshing time by the sea — a symbolic moment of emancipation and freedom.
It was a day filled with history, creativity, reflection, and fun. We are grateful for the opportunity to expose our learners to such meaningful real-life experiences.
