Apparently, this post, made on 20th June, 2019, which bore the inscription "ASSENS shall rise", was prophetic, and this year has seen a manifestation of the prophecy in this post.

If there has ever been any real meaning to the slogan of ASSENS: "our pride", then perhaps it lies in the victories we have seen this year. Indeed, ASSENS has risen.

As long as heaven and earth abide, there'll be seed times and harvest times. Today we join in the celebrations and joy of our colleagues who some four years ago committed themselves to the challenging task of attaining a higher education at the University of Education Winneba.

The path towards obtaining a Degree in English Language Education is by all standards very intimidating and success always comes through determination, perseverance and above all enthusiasm in the discipline of the course. It is against this backdrop that we here at Assens express the warmest congratulations to all the graduates (especially those who have received their certificates today) and wish them the best life can bring.

In this new world we find ourselves, emphasis is on appreciation of the little moments and the nearly missed opportunities. We understand your graduation ceremony was not as grand as should be, but we nonetheless hope your happiness abounds yet more.
