Boy aged 4: dad, I've decided to get married

Dad: wonderful, do you have a girl in mind?

Boy: yes, grandma! She said she loves me, I love her too.. and she's the best cook and & story teller in the whole world!

Dad: that's nice, but we have a small problem there!

Boy: what problem?

Dad: she happens to be my mother. How can you marry my mother!?

Boy: why not?! You married mine!!•

𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻, 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗲-𝗯𝗮𝗿!

The Lion and the Mouse [ألأسد وألفأر]

A mouse once dared a lion and said: ‘I can kill you in one month.’
At first, the Lion laughed it off.
After a week, the lion dreamt that the mouse actually does kills him…
In week two, the lion wondered HOW this little mouse dared to say such a thing to a Lion?!
In week three, the lion thought to himself: WHY did the mouse even say this to me?!
Is the mouse up to something?!
By week four, worries had killed the Lion!

The moral of the story is: your imagination will magnify little thoughts and turn them into something big, and those thoughts will eat you from the inside - if you allow it.

MAY ALLAH ACCEPT OUR PRAYERS AND INCREASE US IN KNOWLEDGE 🙏

~Tahniya day Two, may Allah increase us in Rassoolullah s.a.w❤️🙏

Did you know that Iblīs has only cried 4 times before? Iblīs cried loudly first time when (1) Allāh ﷻ declared him as cursed, (2) when he was thrown out, (3) 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐭 ﷺ 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧, (4) and when Sūrah al-Fātiḥa was revealed. [Ibn Kathīr, al Bidāyah wa l-Nihāyah vol. 2 p. 166]

From this we understand the cursed Leader of Shayāṭīn (Iblīs) was unhappy on the occasion of the birth of the Prophet ﷺ, and you will see some people today follow in the footsteps of Iblīs when the month of Rabī' al-Awwal arrives. As for the believers (Mu’minīn), they follow the commandment of Allāh. He ﷻ says:

“𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘞𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝙎𝙀𝙉𝘿 𝘺𝘰𝘶 (𝘖 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘵 𝘔𝘶𝘩̣𝘢𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘥 ﷺ‎‬) 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝙈𝙀𝙍𝘾𝙔 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥𝘴.‎”

[Qur’ān, 21:107]

So Allāh describes the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ as a ‘Mercy’ in the Holy Book. And what does Allāh ﷻ say regarding His mercies and favours?

► “𝘚𝘢𝘺 [𝘖 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘵 𝘔𝘶𝘩̣𝘢𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘥 ﷺ]: ‘𝘐𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘈𝘭𝘭𝘢̄𝘩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙃𝙞𝙨 𝙈𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙮: 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙞𝙣 𝙇𝙀𝙏 𝙏𝙃𝙀𝙈 𝙍𝙀𝙅𝙊𝙄𝘾𝙀. 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 (𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴) 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘴𝘴.’”

[Qur’ān, 10:58]

Imām Ibn Jawzī al-Ḥanbalī in his tafsīr of this verse mentions: "Mercy [here] means Muḥammad ﷺ."

[Zād al-Masīr fī 'Ilm at-Tafsīr; 4/40]

► "𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝘼𝘽𝙐𝙉𝘿𝘼𝙉𝙏𝙇𝙔 𝙋𝙍𝙊𝘾𝙇𝘼𝙄𝙈 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙁𝘼𝙑𝙊𝙐𝙍𝙎 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙇𝙤𝙧𝙙.”

[Qur’ān, 93:11]

Thus, we can infer from the Qur'ānic verses above that we should rejoice over the mercies of Allāh bestowed upon us and proclaim His favours profusely. Since the Prophet ﷺ is the greatest Favour and Mercy granted to mankind, he has undoubtedly the greatest right in entire creation to be rejoiced over and commemorated. This is part of the faith and an instruction from the Lord of the Heavens and the Earth to the believers.

17 SCRIBES OF THE QUR'AN

Ibn al-Qayyim (rahimullaah) said:

The scholars of seerah (Prophet’s biography) have mentioned the names of the Sahaabah who used to write down the wahy (revelation) or the letters of the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

They were:
1 Abu Bakr al-Siddeeq
2 Umar ibn al-Khattaab
3 Uthmaan ibn ‘Affaan
4 Ali ibn Abi Taalib
5 al-Zubayr ibn al-‘Awwaam
6 Aamir ibn Fuhayrah
7 Amr ibn al-‘Aas
8 Ubayy ibn Ka’b
9 Abd-Allaah ibn al-Arqam
10 Thaabit ibn Qays ibn Shammaas
11 Hanzalah ibn al-Rabee’ al-Usaydi
12 al-Mugheerah ibn Shu’bah
13 Abd-Allaah ibn Rawaahah
14 Khaalid ibn al-Waleed
15 Khaalid ibn Sa’eed ibn al-‘Aas (whom it was said was the first one to write down anything for him)
16 Mu’aawiyah ibn Abi Sufyaan
17 and Zayd ibn Thaabit. He requested them to do that and allocated this task to them.
