Act 1001, 2019 is also the Charter of the university, and as such having
been carved out of the UDS.

A new chapter in student leadership begins ✨

The University of Business and Integrated Development Studies, through the Office of the Dean of Students Affairs, has officially held a handing-over and swearing-in ceremony for the newly elected SRC and NUGS executives for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The ceremony marked a smooth transition of leadership and reaffirmed the University’s commitment to responsible student governance and strong collaboration between Management and the student body.

Speaking on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Issaka Kanton Osumanu, commended the outgoing executives for their service and encouraged the new leaders to uphold integrity, accountability, unity, and dedication in their roles.

Congratulations to the new SRC/NUGS executives as they take up the mantle of leadership.

Team UBIDS beat UENR 2-1 to secure 3rd place at the Mini GUSA Games 2026. After the tough semifinal loss, the boys bounced back strongly and gave us a performance to be proud of.

Congratulations to the entire team for the hard work, determination, and spirit shown throughout the competition. You represented UBIDS well!.

Team UBIDS continues its impressive run at the 9th Mini GUSA Games with a thrilling 16–13 victory over Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) in the 3x3 Basketball competition on Match Day 3. 🏀🔥

The team displayed resilience, teamwork, and determination to secure another win for the University. Congratulations to our gallant athletes for making UBIDS proud.

The University of Business and Integrated Development Studies Admissions and Publicity Team C, has commenced an intensive outreach and admissions campaign in the Nanumba South District and other surrounding areas as part of efforts to expand access to higher education and increase student enrolment.

The Team paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Lungni, Kyee Naa III, Ex-WO1 Nyandey Kofi, and his elders, where the Chief commended the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Emmanuel Kanchebe Derbile, for extending the University’s outreach activities to the area. He also expressed interest in the establishment of a permanent or satellite UBIDS campus in Lungni to support youth development and improve access to tertiary education.

The outreach exercise includes visits to SHS in the following: Nchumuruman, Kpandai, Wulensi, Bimbilla, and Chamba Holy Trinity, alongside radio discussion programmes in Kpandai and Bimbilla to deepen awareness of UBIDS academic programmes and admissions opportunities.
