Key Responsibilities
The Headteacher will:
• Provide overall leadership and management of the school.
• Develop and implement strategies that promote academic excellence and continuous school improvement.
• Lead, motivate, supervise, and support teaching and non-teaching staff.
• Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment, while promoting the school's Christ-centered culture.
• Oversee curriculum implementation, assessment, and educational quality assurance.
• Build strong partnerships with parents, community stakeholders, and educational authorities.
• Collaborate with Accounts and Admin Departments to manage school operations, budgeting, resource allocation, and administrative processes related to the role.
• Drive staff professional development and performance. management initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant educational regulations, policies, and safeguarding requirements.
• Promote the school's vision, values, and culture within the wider community.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, School Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years' relevant professional experience in educational leadership, school administration, or a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing school operations.
• Strong understanding of teaching and learning best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Must be willing to relocate to Wa in the Upper West Region of Ghana (moving assistance and limited-term moving allowance will be provided).
Desirable Qualifications
• Master's Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, School Management, or a related field.
• Experience in private school administration, supervisory or head of school.
• Training or certification in educational leadership.
• Knowledge of school finance and resource management.
International Education Experience
The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of international education systems and curricula, including familiarity with internationally recognized educational frameworks, learner-centered teaching approaches, and global best practices in education. *Experience with international curricula or multicultural educational settings will be an added advantage.*
