𝗧𝗨𝗠𝗨 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗛𝗢𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗦 𝗧𝗪𝗢 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗦𝗛𝗘𝗗 𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗧 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗙𝗙 𝗗𝗨𝗥𝗕𝗔𝗥/𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗗-𝗢𝗙𝗙 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗬

The Management and staff of Tumu College of Education on Saturday, 13th June 2026, organized a memorable Staff durbar and send off party in honour of two distinguished retirees, Mr. Baloroo Lopawiise and Dr. Enoch Mani, in recognition of their dedicated and meritorious service to the College.

The event, held at Gateway traveler’s Lodge under the theme “Celebrating Service, Friendship and New Beginnings,” brought together staff members to celebrate the remarkable contributions of the retirees to the growth and development of Tumu College of Education.

The Principal of Tumu College of Education, Prof. Peter Awon-natemi Agbedemnab, who served as the Chairperson for the occasion, delivered the acceptance address and provided a brief background to the institution of the staff send-off dinner. He expressed his delight at the impressive turnout of staff members, describing it as a testament to the high regard in which the retirees are held.

The Principal also recounted the invaluable contributions of Mr. Baloroo Lopawiise and Dr. Enoch Mani to the growth and development of the College and emphasized the importance of such gatherings in recognizing dedicated service, strengthening staff relationships, and celebrating significant milestones in the lives of employees.

A significant moment of the occasion was the introduction of the honourees, highlighting their years of dedicated service, commitment, and invaluable contributions to the College. Staff members later enjoyed dinner and refreshments while sharing goodwill messages and fond memories of the retirees’ impact on the institution and the lives of students and colleagues.

The Vice Principal, Mr. Abdulai Babia Bukari, read the citations in honour of Mr. Baloroo Lopawiise and Dr. Enoch Mani, highlighting their exemplary service, dedication, and immense contributions to the growth and development of Tumu College of Education.

The citations were subsequently presented to the honourees by the Principal of the College, who also presented gifts and tokens of appreciation on behalf of the College community.

In addition, a cash donation of GH¢5,000.00, a traditional smock, and an undisclosed cash contribution towards their transportation were presented to the honourees as a gesture of gratitude and appreciation for their dedicated service to the College.

In their response, the honourees expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Management, staff, and students of Tumu College of Education for the support, cooperation, and friendship they enjoyed throughout their years of service. They encouraged staff members to remain committed to excellence and continue contributing to the advancement of the College.

A toast was proposed in honour of the retirees, celebrating their accomplishments and wishing them a fulfilling and rewarding retirement. The event also featured a photo session, musical performances, dancing, and social interaction among participants.

The ceremony was a fitting tribute to Mr. Baloroo Lopawiise and Dr. Enoch Mani, whose dedication, professionalism, and years of selfless service have left an indelible mark on Tumu College of Education.
