Tarkwa Gaddiel Acquaah Methodist B Basic Shines at Tarkwa Nsuaem Expo Quiz Competition

We are pleased to announce to the school community and the general public that our school was declared the 1st Runner Up at the Maiden Tarkwa Nsuaem Expo Quiz Competition final held at the Goldfields Junior Staff Club house, Akoon, on Monday, 23rd March 2026.

The competition started at the Circuit level where about fifty Junior High Schools from across the Municipal were grouped into four zones to compete. The winners from the four zones and two other schools joined the finals making a total of six schools, including Nsuta Dadwen Schools Complex and Goldfields School.

Our school was represented by Master Elijah Ankomaning and Miss Amen Adu-Gyamfi, both in Basic 8, losing to the winners by a point. We congratulate their stellar performance.

Present at the ceremony were the Headmaster, Mr Patrick Graham, The assistant, Rev. LAWRENDA BAABA Aryee and other staff members. The school received a brand new hp laptops and a plague as Prize for the position from the organizers.

We wish to appreciate all members of staff, especially those who prepared the team to achieve this feat. God bless us all.

PTA Commissions Modern Washroom for the School

The Parents and Teachers Association, with support from the School Management Committee, on Thursday 5th February, 2026, commissioned the long awaited Modern Washroom facility for use by learners and staff of the school.

The projected which was funded by the PTA with support from Old students Association of the school and Determination Club, Tarkwa has two bathroom facilities for boys and girls, two water closet seats each for boys and girls, and two toilet facility for the male and female teachers respectively, with hand washing basins fitted in each facility within the washroom.
The facility is connected with 24 hours water supply with water reservoir fully installed for use.

Learners will no longer need to go home or nearby facilities to wash down after their PE lessons or training sessions, especially as they prepare for inter school games in the coming days. This will help to curb the lost of contact hours by learners and also prevent learners from moving out of the classroom in search of places of convenience outside the school compound.

The teachers and learners were admonished to take good care of the facility so that it can last for ages. The headteacher expressed his appreciation to the PTA and all stakeholders who supported to make this project a success.

Determination Club Donates to the School

The school is pleased to announce to the general public that it has received a polytank from the Determination Club, Tarkwa. This donation was done by the club under the Chairmanship of Mr. John Koomson.

The donation took place at the school premises last Friday, 12th September 2025. Mr Koomson explained that the gesture was part of their contribution to society as part of the 20th Anniversary celebrations of the club.

The headmaster of the school, Mr. Patrick Graham received the poly tank on behalf of the school, and expressed a profound appreciation to the club for their benevolence. He said that the donation was timely and proper as the school was in dire need of the poly tank for the newly built modern washroom funded by the PTA with support from the Old Students Association, and for other good uses.

Present at the presentation were the PTA chairman, staff, students, the media and some members of the club.
