Today, 20TH AUGUST 2026, Bagabaga College of Education, Tamale witnessed a historic and colourful ceremony as the outgoing Students' Representative Council (SRC) executives officially handed over the mantle of leadership to the newly elected executives.

The event, which brought together students, staff, and management of the college, was marked by an official handing-over process followed by the swearing-in of the new SRC executives into office. The newly sworn-in executives took their oath of office, pledging to serve the student body with dedication, integrity, and transparency.

In his remarks, the outgoing SRC President commended the entire student body for their support during his tenure and urged the incoming executives to build on the foundation laid, while continuing to prioritize the welfare and interests of students.

The newly elected SRC President, in his acceptance speech, expressed profound gratitude to the entire studentry for the trust reposed in the new team and assured all present of a committed and result-oriented leadership focused on student welfare, academic excellence, and unity on campus.

Management and staff of the college, congratulated the new executives and pledged continued support and collaboration to ensure a smooth and productive administration.

The ceremony ended on a high note with words of encouragement, applause, and goodwill messages from students and well-wishers.

On Tuesday, 1st July 2026, the SRC Week Celebration featured one of its most vibrant highlights: ๐‘๐„๐ ๐˜๐Ž๐”๐‘ ๐‚๐”๐‹๐“๐”๐‘๐€๐‹ ๐–๐„๐€๐‘.

Bagabaga College of Education is made up of students from different backgrounds, each with unique cultural identities, traditions and values. The Rep Your Cultural Wear activity provided an opportunity for students to proudly showcase their cultural heritage by wearing outfits that represented their various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

The lecture halls and streets of the campus became colourful and filled with excitement, smiles and a strong sense of cultural pride. Students showcased their diverse traditional outfits, while also taking the opportunity to appreciate and learn about the cultural identities of their colleagues. The activity not only added excitement to the SRC Week celebration but also promoted cultural appreciation, unity and peaceful coexistence among students.

Overall, Rep Your Cultural Wear was a remarkable celebration of the rich cultural diversity within the Bagabaga College of Education community. The activity promoted cultural pride, appreciation, unity and togetherness among students.

On Monday, 29th June 2026, Bagabaga College of Education held a vibrant float along the TaTU, Chogu, and Sagnarigu routes.

Guided by the theme, "๐‘ป๐’‰๐’† ๐‘น๐’๐’๐’† ๐’๐’‡ ๐‘ป๐’†๐’‚๐’„๐’‰๐’†๐’“ ๐‘ป๐’“๐’‚๐’Š๐’๐’†๐’†๐’”: ๐‘ฉ๐’–๐’Š๐’๐’…๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ ๐’‚ ๐‘น๐’†๐’”๐’‘๐’๐’๐’”๐’Š๐’ƒ๐’๐’† ๐’‚๐’๐’… ๐‘ซ๐’“๐’–๐’ˆ-๐‘ญ๐’“๐’†๐’† ๐‘บ๐’๐’„๐’Š๐’†๐’•๐’š," the event served as a public crusade against substance abuse.

Driven by the celebration's core theme, "The role of teacher trainees: Building a Responsible and Drug abuse-Free Society," the procession doubled as an impactful public campaign against drug abuse.

After early lectures wrapped up at 03:3pm, students regrouped by 04:00pm. at the Multipurpose Auditorium. Decked out in colorful, customized SRC Lacoste shirts and T-shirts, the crowd set off behind the SRC executive team, dancing and chanting to lively music provided by the BACE Entertainment Committee.

โ€‹Led by the SRC leadership, the float successfully raised public awareness, fostered unity among students, and provided a lively outlet for social interaction before everyone safely marched back to campus.
