The University for Development Studies has taken note of recent media reports and social media content wrongly linking Mr. Prosper Kaba to a robbery incident.

We wish to clearly state: Mr. Kaba is not a suspect. He is a victim.

Mr. Kaba is a legitimate MPhil student whose image has been misused, leading to misinformation and reputational harm. This situation is deeply concerning and highlights the need for accuracy and responsible reporting.

The University formally calls on the affected media outlets to:

• Retract the misleading publications
• Issue a clear and unqualified apology
• Correct the narrative to reflect the facts

We also urge the public to be mindful of the information they share and to rely on verified sources.

At UDS, we remain committed to protecting the dignity and integrity of our students.

As the first trimester winds down, attention turns to one of the most defining experiences of student life (Community Outreach Program).

For Level 100 students, it’s your first real field experience, a chance to step beyond the lecture hall and into communities, to learn, engage, and make impact.

For Level 200 students, this is the final outreach journey, a moment to apply everything you’ve learned and leave a lasting mark.

This isn’t just a program. It’s where knowledge meets service, where theory becomes action, and where UDS students truly live the mission of “Knowledge for Service.”

Get ready to serve, learn, and grow. The field is calling.
