Let welcome our new Head of Department Dr. Timothy Khan Aikins, whose appointment starts today 1 September 2025. Dr. Aikins is a Senior Lecturer in the Department and has been with the department since 2012. He holds a PhD in Conservation Biology from the FitzPatrick Institute of African Ornithology, University of Cape Town, South Africa. His research interest include Avian Ecology, Nutrient Ecology and Soil-Plant-Animal interactions. We wish him well as he leads the department.
