Great having Pope John Paul School at the Takoradi Library during our library hours. Nothing beats seeing young readers explore, learn, and discover new stories.

In partnership with Databank Foundation Ghana, the Takoradi Library successfully hosted a Reading Clinic to mark World Book Day 2026.

We were delighted to welcome 250 pupils from six outstanding schools:

These young readers left inspired, and so did we.

Today, Takoradi Library joined Asempah Junior College for a wonderful Personality Read event to close out Heritage Month. The story read was Patience Akosua Gyamfua-Fofie — a beautiful tale that reminded us of the power of patience and perseverance.

We were honored to have the Regional Director of Ghana Library Authority – Western Region in attendance, adding to the significance of the day.
