The Ebenezer School Complex

ABOUT US

The idea of "The Ebenezer School Complex (TEBSCO)" was put forth by Mrs. Mercy Ocloo in April 2019.

• Mrs Ocloo is a seasoned Educationist with over 32 years of experience, a Teacher by profession, a Mother to many Ghanaian students far and near, and a Crusader for change, who used her leadership skills to bring about monumental changes in academic and moral lives of students, promoting holistic education. She also facilitated changes in infrastructure in popular educational institutions in the Western Region of Ghana.

• She has also caused many evidenced-based changes in the lives of many Ghanaians occupying very important positions in Ghana and many who have journeyed across the continent working in renowned organisations occupying enviable positions.

• Mrs Ocloo, an Educational Administrator and an experienced teacher attaches great importance to providing education to every child of school going age. She has passion for children and enjoys moulding and providing all children (pupils and students) with well-tailored quality basic education, skills, care and love to fit into the society and become responsible adults to fulfill their potentials.

• The desire for the establishment of The Ebenezer School Complex (TEBSCO) was borne out of the innate desire to provide a well-tailored skills training education and quality basic education to all children living with autism.

The school admits autistic children from the age of 12 to 25.
There are already plans afoot to develop it into a full-blown Basic Primary School and Junior High School with boarding facility for kids on the autistic spectrum.

• TEBSCO provides answers to the challenges many career women have to deal with in combining motherhood, child upbringing and work schedules. The Ebenezer School Complex has been established as a second-home to many kids who are living with autism.

• NOTE: TEBSCO has an all-inclusive educational programme for special children (only those living with autism and are teachable – between the ages of 12 and 25).

• Mrs Ocloo intends to create a world at The Ebenezer School Complex of pupils and students who are able to take full advantage of life opportunities and achieve their full potentials.

• TEBSCO has experienced special educators, caregivers and volunteers who are well-trained to provide a well-thought-through curriculum outline based on the syllabuses of the Ghana Education Service (GES) Special Education Unit.

• TEBSCO will soon be registered with the following Government Agencies:

1. Registrar-General’s Department (Registrar of Companies);
2. Ghana Education Service (GES);
3. Social Welfare Department;
4. NASIA; and
4. Shama District Assembly.
