At Jets Crystal School, our learners explored the SEL theme No Failure — “I believe there is no such thing as failure, only feedback.”

Through hands-on activities and meaningful conversations, learners discovered that mistakes are a natural part of growth. They practiced embracing challenges, reflecting on their experiences, and using feedback to become better, stronger, and more capable learners.

The experience extended far beyond the classroom — learners developed perseverance, strengthened their confidence, and cultivated a growth mindset that empowers them to turn setbacks into steppingstones for success.

Last week at St. James Academy, we explored the SEL theme: EXPERIENCE.

"I believe my present experience is just one interpretation of reality."

This theme reminded us that our thoughts, emotions, and past experiences can shape how we view situations. What may seem like a setback today could actually be an opportunity for growth tomorrow.

Students learned the importance of considering different perspectives, challenging assumptions, and remaining open-minded. By understanding that our current view is not always the complete picture, we can develop greater resilience, empathy, and a growth mindset.

During lunch, we shared an absolutely delectable meal that left everyone satisfied and energized.😁

Beyond the food, it became a beautiful moment of connection, laughter, and togetherness. Through exciting games, conversations, and shared experiences, we bonded deeply and created memories that made the atmosphere even more special.

The joy, teamwork, and genuine interactions reminded us that learning and growth are not limited to sessions alone — sometimes the best moments happen around the table and in the laughter we share together.

“I believe my present EXPERIENCE is just one interpretation of reality. As Sir. Joseph Adams explains, this is the SEL theme currently being taught in all our partner schools. Students are learning that their present experiences do not define who they are or determine their future. Every challenge, success, or situation is only one interpretation of reality, not the final definition of their lives.”
